NOW: Sentencing begins in Capitol riot case of Howard Richardson, who's pleaded guilty to assault/resisting police. Feds seek nearly 4-years prison
They argue he swung "metal pole to strike a police officer three times, stopping only when the metal pole broke"
Edit: FLASH: Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly sentences Capitol riot defendant Howard Richardson to 46-months prison
She criticizes Richardson for trying to "minimize" his role on Jan 6. Judge: "The events of January 6 were an Insurrection.. not a protest. Certainly not a peaceful one"

How many of these "coupers" have said "I was in the wrong place at the wrong time"?

I don't necessarily agree with all of these statements, but I do believe that because SO FAR there have been no consequences to the higher ups, they feel perfectly OK to keep fomenting this violence.

If you’re a Proud Boy who was on the DC-MD chapter’s encrypted texts recovered off of Joshua Pruitt’s phone, his attorney thinks you should be “very concerned.”

I'm curious if this talk about future pardons ("and apologies") might motivate prosecutors in other jurisdictions, e.g.., Virginia, Maryland, and D.C.,* to investigate and prosecute related charges that occured in their jurisdictions.
Obviously the scope would be limited to those who actually crimed in their jurisdictions by planning and conspiring there. So more aimed at the high-level criminals, and not the touristy opportunists.
* No, POTUS cannot pardon violations of the D.C. code.

How many of these are being found, or even charged, with this crime. He will be able to pardon them all. We have seen that, so far, he is above the law.
Unless Garland is willing to charge for Jan 6 crimes or the current classified documents thingy, he will likely be the next President. Voters in general are not as savvy and don't pay attention to things the way the Boogle does. We are not "average voters".
