At least he’s consistent. The ex-president with a decades-long history of screwing over his vendors is once again the face of a company with major financial troubles and unhappy unpaid vendors.

TRUTH Social, the social media platform launched by former President Donald Trump to post his various complaints and musings after getting permabanned from Twitter, is reportedly having major financial problems, including owing its web hosting company $1.6 million.

The scoop was tweeted Thursday afternoon by Fox Business senior correspondent Charlie Gasparino, who wrote there were “big money woes” at TRUTH Social, specifically describing how one of its “biggest vendors,” web-hosting service provider RightForge, was owed $1.6 million after the company had fallen months behind in its payments.

Gasparino reported the story on his colleague Neil Cavuto’s show, noting how TRUTH Social had finally seen improvement in terms of user growth with a surge of downloads in the aftermath of the FBI executing a search warrant at Mar-a-Lago, but “still trails Twitter by a mile.”

TRUTH Social “kind of can’t get out of its own way,” Gasparino continued, mentioning the platform’s early tech glitches and ongoing investigations the company was facing.

RightForge was getting “stiffed,” Gasparino reported, according to “three sources, all with direct knowledge of the matter,” with TRUTH Social “reneging on its contractual obligations to pay” after making only three payments.

Digital World is looking to extend the cut-off date for a merger with Truth Social by 12 months

Former President Donald Trump's social media platform Truth Social and blank-check company Digital World Acquisition Corp. could not reach a merger deal by the cut-off date and will require an extension.

Digital World, the company taking the social media platform public, announced Friday a special shareholder meeting to approve an extension to the termination date to complete the merger.

"While we are using our best efforts to complete the Business Combination as soon as practicable, our board of directors believes that there will not be sufficient time before the Termination Date to complete the Business Combination," Digital World said in an SEC filing.

The cut-off date to complete the merger is Sept. 8, 2022, and Digital World is looking to extend that by a year.

The announcement comes as U.S. regulators are investigating the merger.

Firm warns decline in Trump's popularity could damage Truth Social value

Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Digital World Acquisition Corp., a special acquisition company that has agreed to take the parent company of Donald Trump's social media platform public, warned Monday that a decline in the former president's popularity could damage the value of the deal.

In a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, DWAC said the success of Truth Social "depends in part" on the "reputation and popularity" of Trump, who is the chairman of Trump Media and Technology group, which owns and operates the social media platform.

What a shock - trump not paying his bills. Geeze, you'd think they might have thought about whether he'd pay or not before agreeing to host him. Wouldn't it be just terrible if they dumped him for non-payment an no one else would agree to host him out of concern he won't pay?
