City of Albuquerque refers Trump campaign bill to collection agency
https://www.kob.com/albuquerque-news/ci ... y/6083948/
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M.- The City of Albuquerque referred the Trump campaign to a collection agency.

The city is seeking approximately $200,000 following the president's rally in Rio Rancho in 2019.

Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller said the bill covers security costs that stem from the former president staying in a downtown Albuquerque hotel overnight.

The security cost include blocking off parts of downtown, paying police officers overtime and covering the paid time off expenses of city workers who had to stay home

"We actually treated it like any other debt, and so it goes through a somewhat process where you send a bunch of letters out," Keller said. "We got no response from those letters. And then automatically, it does go to an agency that helps try and collect debts, and so that's those annoying phone calls you get that say, you know, you owe money to so-and-so like now, Trump is getting those."
:snippity:
"Given what else has happened, I mean in terms of, even his own campaign owing money to donors and lots of shady stuff there, so unfortunately I don't really expect us to get paid," he said. "But it's important that we do, and you know, we would do it for anyone else, so he's no different."

Trump plots temporary move from Mar-a-Lago north to New Jersey
https://www.businessinsider.com/donald- ... olf-2021-4
Like so many Florida snowbirds, former President Donald Trump and his team will flock back north, to the New York region, after spending his first months out of the White House at his beachside Mar-a-Lago estate.

Trump and his relatively small band of post-White House staffers and political aides are actively discussing when to vacate Mar-a-Lago and temporarily relocate to Trump's golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey, according to Trump advisors who spoke with Insider this week.

Mar-a-Lago, a private club that also serves as Trump's residence and post-presidential office, closes just after Memorial Day, when South Florida becomes a decidedly hot, muggy, and flat-out swampy affair.

But for Trump, who's attempting to maintain control over the Republican Party while mulling a 2024 presidential run, climate isn't his only consideration.

"They're moving the whole operation to New Jersey because they're going to start doing more fundraising," one Trump advisor familiar with the deliberations said. :snippity:

Unless he’s going to move next door to me, I don’t give a rat’s arse where he goes.

Why leave Marawhatsit, though? So what if it’s swampy? I hear he has great drains. I want the optics! McCarthy groveling at his feet in a pool of perspiration.

New York and New Jersey flipped a coin.

New Jersey lost.

New Jersey need to quickly find something to investigate.

:crying: Not so much golf. It is fear of being arrested by authorities in New York that stops him from ascending back up his beloved golden escalator! He would also look down upon the giant "Black olives Matter" painted on the street below. Same as was done on the street in front of the White House. Those 3 words seem to trigger him immensely.

Why would you need to move to New Jersey to do fundraising?

He won't go back to New York because he knows that New Yorkers loathe him. He can't move around much if he's in Trump Tower, and there'd be too many protestors outside on the street. He's not president anymore, and doesn't have the clout to have people moved away. He'd have to drive to NJ anyway to play at the club, might as well live there where there's still adoring fans.

The Secret Service may not be willing to pay his exorbitant rental rates for them to have an office in the tower.

Yes, that's probably part of it as well. He's not president anymore, so the SS staffing has to have been cut waaaaaaaaaayyyyy back.

I also wonder if Melania and Barron are now back living in Trump Tower, and he's no longer welcome in "their" home.

So, taxpayers paid for Eric Trump and his wife to play golf with paying customers of his 'Ultimate Links Tour'. I sure hope Biden cuts these leeches off after a year.

From the CNN article...
Trump Jr.'s impact was on full display earlier this month, when Trump caught himself fuming at a televised interview with Gov. Asa Hutchinson over the Arkansas Republican's stance on transgender issues, one that would have previously escaped his attention. Unlike the days when Trump would camp out in an annex off the Oval Office, griping to aides about critical cable coverage he'd seen of himself or his administration, this time he was incensed by Hutchinson's veto of a Republican-backed bill blocking gender-affirming treatments for transgender youth in his state.

The former President had been watching one of his favorite primetime programs, "Tucker Carlson Tonight," from the residence at his Mar-a-Lago club when Carlson and Hutchinson got into a sparring match over the matter. A person familiar with the episode said Trump was "cursing at the television," and became increasingly frustrated by Hutchinson's rebuttals. Two days later, the ex-President released a statement through his Save America leadership PAC accusing Hutchinson of supporting the "chemical castration of children."

To outside observers, it seemed odd that Trump, who largely avoided LGBTQ issues during his presidency beyond banning transgender Americans from serving in the US military, would issue a statement skewering one of the nation's most conservative governors over a veto related to transgender youth. But inside the former President's orbit, it was abundantly clear who had influenced him.

For years, Trump Jr. had made base-pumping statements about various expansions of transgender rights to his right-wing followers on Twitter and Instagram. When Cece Telfer, a transgender woman, qualified for the NCAA Women's Division II Outdoor Track and Field Championships in 2019, Trump Jr. claimed her success was a "grave injustice to so many young women" in a tweet. He again panned transgender athletes during a brief appearance at his father's "Stop the Steal" rally from the White House Ellipse on January 6.
:fuckyou:

For those who don't follow Wisconsin news: The Foxconn deal was renegotiated last week. Foxconn will be getting a LOT less of the taxpayer's money than what Trump/Walker agreed to give them.

Trump Scores $617 Million of Cash With Vornado From Tower Bonds

Investors snapped up $1.2 billion of bonds linked to a San Francisco office tower that makes up much of Donald Trump’s fortune.

The AAA slice of the commercial mortgage-backed security sold Friday with a discount margin, or risk premium, of 125 basis points over one-month Libor -- roughly in line with other recent office-tower deals.

:snippity:

The complex, among the tallest buildings in San Francisco, is one of two Trump-linked office towers that Vornado is refinancing. The other is in New York. While Vornado majority owns them, Trump’s 30% stake is the most valuable part of his portfolio, making up about one-third of his $2.3 billion fortune, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

The refinancing -- and cash windfall for Vornado and Trump -- comes months after several banks tied to the former president said they would no longer work with him after the deadly U.S. Capitol riot in January.
