Re: Music Free-for-all
Maybe it's time for a bit of avant-garde.
John Cage Sonata V (from Sonatas and Interludes) for prepared piano (prepared means a bunch of stuff has been put in the piano create non-piano sounds as you can see in the video).
Then there is George Crumb's Makrokosmos I, "Dream Images" which shows the music (note, Chopin is in it).
For a bit more wild George Crumb, there is Makrokosmos II, Tora Tora Tora, which includes getting up and hitting the strings in the piano along with a bit of singing/shouting.

Re: Music Free-for-all
I'm going to start up a Manfred Mann collection. His career and music interests are really diverse, from rock to jazz to exotica. I don't think I ever heard anything I didn't like.
He did several instrumental albums that would really be classified as 'exotica' today if he only had the foresight to put a naked woman on the cover.
This is off "Manfred Mann Soul Of Mann"
The cover image is NOT the original - that can be seen here: https://www.discogs.com/release/3966395 ... trumentals

Wait just a gol dang minute there.
You know as well as I do that there is ONLY ONE Arlo Guthrie track that can be played at this time of year.
Now go clean up the garbage and sit on the Group 'W' bench until you have rehabilitated yourself.
Then go have a Thanksgiving Dinner that can't be beat.
(By the way, that vid is great)

Hubby and I always sit on the Group W bench. It's the most fun!

I'd love to have a soundtrack from that concert tour, it's all over YT, you can tell from the same shirt he wears. Awesome stuff.

You know what is awesome for me of the "Blinded by the Light" song? It mellows me out-- without weed. The same felling.

Despite the poor video quality, I love this one. Great short clips all around but Tom Smothers.

Opera isn’t really in my musical wheelhouse and I don’t know much about it. But my friend is an opera singer and she is here visiting and needed to practice for an upcoming audition. So I’m in my music room listening to her.

Sidebar: I was supposed to go to a Foreigner concert as my first concert but evil step-monster caught me smoking a cig. Fucking Beatch. It was her own little brother that gave it to me. So.. I never got to see Foreigner live,

That's a lot of fun! I think Donovan is still performing.

Re: Music Free-for-all
For something completely original I'm playing a computer game at the moment with a really unique soundtrack, good enough for me to spend a whole fiver on getting it in lossless FLAC format. Its a mix of Techno and the organ of a Cathedral.
Originally posted by Bulwark Studios:
The pipe organ you hear in Guillaume’s OST mostly comes from the Cathedral Saint Pierre of Angoulême, France. It’s a 250 years old pipe organ well maintained. We managed to get a (short) recording session with a talented organ player to end with a richer and deeper sound. But there is also some VST organ remaining in the final OST that Guillaume kept from the beginning of his work.

Thanks, Suranis! I've been looking for a unique composition for the processional when Hubby and I renew our vows on our 50th anniversary.
