Sentencing underway now in Capitol riot case of David Blair who is accused of carrying Confederate flag on lacrosse stick and brandishing stick against police

Defense just argued the lacrosse stick was not a dangerous weapon

Judge: “You’re telling me a lacrosse stick can’t cause serious bodily injury?”

Blair cross checked Officer with stick, per judge

I just realized who Trump is, metaphorically.

He’s not Hitler. Not Mussolini. Not Nixon.

He’s Charlie Manson.

Donald is just as guilty as Charlie, and for the same reason.

He should be behind bars.

Technology is an amazing thing, it lets perpetrators document the own evidence against them. :blackeye:

No comment from Rep. Andrew Clyde on whether he regrets comparing Jan. 6 to a “normal tourist visit,” declining to answer any questions about the remark

Jan. 6 defendant Andrew Griswold has been "committed to the custody of the Bureau of Prisons for a term of 75 days," per Judge Christopher R. Cooper.

In fairness, they thought tfg was going to be President and his DOJ would never charge them. And if there’s a Republican President, any Oath Keepers or Proud Boys who get 20 years for seditious conspiracy are going to be pardoned. The rest are getting misdemeanor short sentences and fines. Except the fake shaman and a couple others.

A potential big "caught up in the moment" day awaits us at federal court in Washington DC

Several Jan 6 defendants face sentencing today.. and will seek leniency and ask to be spared from prison

Sentencing right now in Jan 6 case of Terry Lindsey of Colorado

Feds seek 1-year prison, arguing he shoved DC officer, evaded police who tried to clear Capitol, later posted “.. next time we will
bring are [sic] guns”

Defense seeks leniency calling Lindsey "average participant"

The Defense would have been better off calling Lindsey, "too fucking stupid to tie his own shoes."

The FBI hasn’t arrested hundreds who joined the Capitol mob on Jan. 6. Just ask this MAGA comedian.
Kevin Downey Jr., who has talked about what he saw on the Capitol grounds on Jan. 6, was recently identified to the FBI by online sleuths.
Another win for the Sedition Hunters :boxing:

I dunno why this strikes me as remarkable in any way, but there are a bunch of Downey, Jr.s around. First one I heard of was talk show host Morton Downey, Jr., then, of course, there's Robert Downey, Jr., and here's Kevin Downey, Jr. Just weird to me I guess since, aside from their dads, I've never heard of anyone else named Downey...

You must not be from California! In Southern California there is a community called Downey, named after Governor John G. Downey (1860-62) who subdivided part of a land grant rancho and bestowed his name upon this new town.

I don't know if any of his issue had the junior suffix, however.

Prospective jurors are now seated in courtroom for this other big trial in DC today. Selection begins shortly. I’ll be tracking it
