Lindell is advised by people who have no idea how elections work.

This is overly complicated nonsense since you can check your voted history in real time here.

Plus, if you are already given into paranoia the absence of a voted flag will not persuade you otherwise.

🚨 Heads up @stephen_richer @NASEDorg @AZSecretary @PAStateDept & Election Officials: Mike Lindell is encouraging chaos in the #2024Election. "Voter Identity Protection" (VIP) counsels to obtain a mail-in ballot, then go to the polls & try to vote twice: https://electioncrimebureau.com/VIP/

You just know these fools are clueless that actions like these are why the GOP was under a consent decree for decades. Facts and history are eschewed in Lindell and MAGA worlds.

Exactly. Mike Lindell's emails, "I’m DEPUTIZING YOU TO SAVE OUR COUNTRY! Please go RIGHT NOW to see the steps you need to take to prevent theft of YOUR voter identity" are exemplary of why the GOP was under a consent decree for 35 years. Clueless. Lie, rinse, repeat. And grift.

It sounds like Lindell is advising his marks to ... spoil their own ballots.

If anyone that deep into Lindell's bullshit wants to make sure their vote doesn't count, well, please proceed.

(I get the actual plan is to create uncertainty for when the results are inevitably challenged, but the professionals have explained how actual election officials will actually administer these circumstances.)

Maybe I'm wrong and it could differ by state but if you have received a mail in ballot, and you decide to vote in person, don't you have to bring the mail in ballot with you? So they are going to intentionally commit voter fraud by requesting the ballot, denying they received the ballot, mail in the ballot which they will claim was stolen and then vote in person with a provisional ballot.

What could go wrong?

Oh yeah, they're white Republicans. Nothing.

Exactly Slim, that's certainly true in Florida.

BTW, when clowns wail about Voter ID:

I'm a registered independent, formerly Dem. I don't have a team. I do however wonder why my former party resists ID requirements while they open the border. This isn't the policy of President Clinton, VP Gore, Obama in 08, or even Biden for 90% of his career. What's changed?

As of April 2024, 35 states require voters to present identification in order to vote at the polls on Election Day. Including AZ, MI, WI, NC, GA, TX, FL, and PA for 1st time voters. It's a mostly moot issue.

First of all, I thought that mail-in voting was the devil's (Biden) own handiwork and that true patriots should demand to vote in person, on election day.

Secondly, this is exactly the way the system is supposed to (and IMHO, should) work. If I request a mail-in ballot, I am not prohibited from changing my mind and voting in person.

As I understand it, the system does flag voters who requested a mail-in ballot. That alerts the poll workers of a potential double-vote. If I am flagged as having requested a mail-in ballot, I am allowed to cast a provisional ballot.

If my mail-in ballot arrives at the Board of Elections, my in-person vote is not counted. If my mail-in ballot does not arrive by the statutory deadline, then my in-person ballot IS counted. Simple.

The fact that I am flagged as having requested a mail-in ballot is not evidence of identity theft, by any stretch of the imagination.

The system I described seems to me to be very reasonable and a good first line of defense against double voting.

I wonder, in Pillowforbrains' fantasy world, how does he think that boards of election should prevent double voting? Oh, wait, I know. He and the other idiots want to return to the days of paper ballots, cast in-person, on a single day, with the results to be officially certified before midnight of that day.

Reid Hoffman (founder of LinkedIn) invested in Smartmatic to help them with their Fox News litigation. They'll also be able to use that money in their lawsuit against MIKE LINDELL!

Thanks, Reid for supporting democracy with your investment in Smartmatic. Another bonus: Smartmatic is suing Mike Lindell, whose anti-American actions have escalated to "deputizing" people to attempt to vote twice. Have given a heads-up to @stephen_richer & @NASEDorg.

A billionaire is boosting a major defamation lawsuit against Fox News
LinkedIn co-founder Reid Hoffman, a longtime funder of left-leaning causes, has invested in Smartmatic, the election technology company suing conservative media outlets over false claims of 2020 vote-rigging.
By Jeremy Barr July 8, 2024 at 5:00 a.m. EDT

Smartmatic, the voting technology company enmeshed in complex defamation lawsuits against Fox News and Newsmax, has a powerful new financial ally: billionaire tech entrepreneur Reid Hoffman. Hoffman, a co-founder of LinkedIn, has made a multimillion-dollar investment intended in part to help the company sustain its costly litigation. Smartmatic has said the two news outlets smeared it by airing bogus claims of rigged vote counting in the 2020 election.

In a statement provided to The Washington Post, Hoffman alluded to the toll taken on Smartmatic, which has spent tens of millions on legal costs related to the suits. “Smartmatic built a global business by using technology to better engage citizens, regardless of party or ideology, by making voting simple and trustworthy,” Hoffman said. “After Donald Trump lost in 2020, however, Smartmatic became a target of the defamatory campaign to overturn his defeat.”

Dmitri Mehlhorn, an adviser to Hoffman, said the investment is in line with Hoffman’s desire to support the role of the legal system in arbitrating fact from fiction. “Not only is Smartmatic a great investment in terms of financial returns, this was a way to provide capital that would allow the truth to be found in the courts,” he said. “This is a company that is a great company with a great CEO, and this case is a great case.” Mehlhorn said the entrepreneur connected with Smartmatic chief executive Antonio Mugica through friends of friends. “They already kind of liked each other broadly and remotely, and then this deal came up,” he said of Hoffman and Mugica.
***
“Smartmatic’s technology has counted 7 billion votes on 6 continents with zero security breaches,” Mugica said in his own statement. “Voters, candidates and election officials in all of those elections are watching to see if we still stand up for the truth against lies. Rest assured, we do.” No trial date has been set for Smartmatic’s suit against Fox, which last year settled similar claims from another election technology company, Dominion Voting Systems, for $787.5 million. Fox News has defended its coverage of the 2020 election by saying that it was simply covering newsworthy claims made by Trump and his associates, including accusations of fraud. In a statement, a Fox representative portrayed Hoffman’s involvement in the case as politically motivated.

I thought it was Dominion but someone only tried to convince me Smartmatic was the big dog.

There’s a thread where nurses say that’s not how to bandage an ear, with video of the correct way. I’m less hung up on the bandage than the fact he didn’t need one at his club while golfing and his ear appeared to be undamaged.

I have no problem with people laughing at TFG for a bandage, or for making sure everybody can see it. Or putting it on when it's not needed. I don't see the point, myself. Big deal, he's a jerk.

Where I get off the train is the implication that this is evidence that his ear was not cut. Because clear tape would not be used? Or somehow that doesn't look like what a real medical professional would do? Yes it does.

I've seen photos of his right ear unbandaged that _purport_ to be from Sunday. I haven't seen one that can be shown to have been on Sunday. If definitive photos are out there, great. Again, I don't care. I have no problem believing that he's wearing a bandage he doesn't need. Saying his ear was not injured is nuts. I saw the video, I saw the ear, I saw the blood. Gonna need a lot more than clear tape to believe that.

I object to the astounding amount of crap being thrown out there by Dems. People all over SM have decided that this was faked, and they're pointing at all the things that they think are somehow off, as evidence. It's embarrassing. This is not Freeperland.

It doesn't work that way but Mikey is special.

To be fair, it doesn't help that FJT's team -- he himself, his sons, his campaign, his fans -- are all treating it like the bullet itself hit his ear, caused copious blood loss, but needed no stitches and only this little gauze pad. Everything else I've seen indicates the injury was caused by secondary shrapnel, but since that's not as heroic, FJT's own side of things is exaggerating and where there's exaggeration by such a known fraudster, the natural attempt to poke holes in the story will come to the fore.

So the story from one side is that he took the bullet graze to the side of his head, fell down, immediately and without help got up again heroically. But this is entirely out of the realm of evidence *and* displayed character -- we know or can surmise that it was a secondary shrapnel wound, he was on the ground for what, around 40 seconds or so before getting up, and it was not entirely unaided as Secret Service was around him for support and he was trying to get one of his shoes back for some (concealing detail) reason. So the two stories are at war and each side wants to prove the other side to be liars.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that if the MAGAverse were more honest about the little details, there'd be less questioning of the whole situation. We see it time and again where the situation is reversed. So I for one have little sympathy on this score, from them, though I completely understand why it bugs you and I regret that it does.

Gift link to a long article the Washington Post had in today's paper -

Mike Lindell won’t give it a rest
Mike Lindell arrived at the Republican National Convention with two important goals.

“Save MyPillow,” says his wife, Kendra. And “save the country.”

The situations were dire. America’s voting system was vulnerable, according to Lindell’s unproven and disproven theories. And because he had the audacity to say this publicly — and thereby put himself in legal jeopardy — his pillow company was on the brink.

What would it take to turn these things around? Paper ballots and, well, mattress toppers.

“You got to get everyone in this country on board with getting rid of these voting machines,” he told a roving CNN documentary crew during a whirlwind day of interviews and selfies in Milwaukee.

“We just came out with the most affordable mattress topper in history: $99.98 for the queen, $119.98 for the king,” he told The Washington Post later, echoing a pitch he gave dozens of times throughout the day. “They have 14,000 individual pressure supports that I put in the queen alone. If you sleep bad, you need a different input to get a different output. Kind of like our elections.”

For the past 3½ years, the mustachioed, motor-mouthed salesman hasn’t stopped talking about how the 2020 election was stolen, and it has cost him. He has been sued for defamation by two voting-machine companies; Dominion Voting System wants him to pay $1.3 billion (the equivalent of about 10.8 million mattress toppers, king-size). Those cases are ongoing, and Lindell has denied wrongdoing.
Much more at the link above.

I'm married to a dermatologist who takes a lot of skin cancers off people and a TON of those cancers are on ears. All different places on ears. I asked about this and got laughter. First, he tries to use flesh colored wound closures. Second, even removing 1/4 of someone's ear he said his bandaging wouldn't be that big.

I want to know how that thing is staying on. I don't see anything taping it to his skin. Is it actually like a li'l pillowcase...just slipped on there? The wound appeared to me to have occurred where the top part of the ear meets his head, so the "shell" or back part has no need to be bandaged.

Just for general knowledge, here's what the American Academy of Dermatology says about wound care. https://www.aad.org/public/everyday-car ... mize-scars
