Normally, Lindell looks more like a confused, sloppy dim bulb to me. Here, he looks utterly demonic. I don't have any way of telling, but this look was so over-the-top that my first thought when I saw this pic last night is that it's been Photoshopped.

Apparently, Lindell just dropped the suit against the DoJ for seizing his cell phone. It's not clear from the wording of the article whether he unilaterally dropped the suit or whether it was with the mutual agreement of the DOJ. He got nothing for all his trouble.

Shame on the attorney if he didn't get a retainer for an amount in excess of the reasonably likely billings for the case up front. Lindell was an obvious train wreck that could be seen a mile away. No sympathy for the attorney if he got stiffed.

I don’t get how all these guys get away with ripping off their lawyers. Every single time I’ve engaged a lawyer I’ve had to plop down a fat retainer that they bill against. And LONG before the retainer runs out, they have me re-up it. Or they don’t work. How come these scum bags don’t have to play by the same rules with their lawyers?

That would be a question for the lawyers and how they conduct their business.

Being a Trump-supporting lawyer does not immediately suggest a mind that is razor-sharp and business-like, does it?

So, what (frivolous) grounds does Mr. Pillowforbrains offer for refusing to pay the $5M. "I don't wanna" is, as far as I know, not legally sufficient.

He was operating on the assumption that to win the contest, someone had to prove to his satisfaction that his evidence was false. He knew that HE could never be convinced, so he would never have to pay.

Also, too, I think that he sincerly believes that his BS is absolute gospel truth. Therefore, no one could ever prove him wrong.
