What buts me is that the seal on the wall is much smaller in fuckhead's mug shot. I assume because he is farther away from the wall. But why?

I think that's a watermark, not an actual seal on the wall.

I believe you are correct. Our county added watermarks on booking photos (new and old) a couple years ago. Good call.

For a watermark, it sure changes focus and distance a lot.

It's so saaad that the perps weren't made to hold those classic lboards with their names, etc. Perhaps Fulton County jail could have allowed the Orange Asshole to put "Presiden"t before his name.

It still makes more sense than a decal on the wall. Booking stations have marks on the floor to stand on, so one photo
wouldn't be taken from 2' back and another from 6' back. The cameras are mounted and stationary, and usually auto-focus so a decal or whatever would be the same on every photo. A watermark can just be slapped on there by anyone and much more likely to have variable focus, size, etc.

That assumes The Don would listen to anyone telling him where to stand.
