I say you can do whatever you want to celebrate the holidays. It just pisses me off when they try to wrap Christianity (Xmas) with Judaism (Hanukkah). If you have done both celebrations, you know they are completely different -- but equally respectful.
It's always an attack on urban areas. Last week 2 homes were set ablaze in a resort community in the Tip of the Mitt (far northern MI) on successive nights. The alleged arsonist was 12 years old. Both homes burned to the ground. Arson is a crime, it is always wrong.

Personally, I mostly think of the pagan connections when someone goes off about Christ being all about Christmas. It's historically unlikely he was born in December and the early Church often appropriated pagan traditions to make conversions easier to sell.

I've never heard of an "organ crawl" before. It sounds rather debauched, though I can't begin to guess whether the debauchery is principally due to alcohol or carnal pursuits.
