4 criminal referrals.
Obstruction of an official proceeding, Conspiracy to Defraud the United States and Conspiracy to make a false statement, Incitement of an insurrection.
The summary describes in extensive detail how Trump tried to overpower, pressure and cajole anyone who wasn’t willing to help him overturn his election defeat – while knowing that many of his schemes were unlawful. His relentless arm-twisting included election administrators in key states, senior Justice Department leaders, state lawmakers, and others. The report even suggests possible witness tampering with the committee’s investigation.
The committee repeatedly uses forceful language to describe Trump’s intent: that he “purposely disseminated false allegations of fraud” in order to aid his efforts to overturn the 2020 election and to successfully solicit about $250 million in political contributions. “These false claims provoked his supporters to violence on January 6th.”
The full report, based on 1,000-plus interviews, documents collected including emails, texts, phone records and a year and a half of investigation by the nine-member bipartisan committee, will be released Wednesday, along with along with transcripts and other materials collected in the investigation.
The report summary says there’s evidence to pursue Trump on multiple crimes, including obstruction of an official proceeding, conspiracy to defraud the United States, conspiracy to make false statements, assisting or aiding an insurrection, conspiring to injure or impede an officer and seditious conspiracy.

So overturning an election is just 'politics' you say?
Good to know.

Yeah, the beginning of the summary hammers him pretty hard as pushing for Pence to reject votes even though he previously said that there was no legal right for him to do so. At this point trying to discredit the committee is pretty much the only thing he has left.

He seems to be a petty man, with a mean streak. I hope he’s clobbered pretty hard.

The local news stations in ABQ are all covering Eastman tonight. He lives in Santa Fe and probably won't be able to go outside for a while.

I read the whole thing(1) -- while it mentions other people involved in the conspiracy (Eastman in particular) and those who refused to cooperate or were less than forthcoming as well as those who were pressured by Trump's allies to be "team players", the primary focus is on Trump, the crimes for which he should be held accountable, and the evidence of those crimes. While I have no doubt that most Republicans and their media will spin this as highly partisan, I'm guessing that their evidence and arguments will be very helpful to the Special Counsel. It isn't so much a bombshell as it is a tightly woven tapestry that will be very hard to poke holes in. Given the circumstances, it's hard to see what more they could have done, and hopefully this narrative will provide a backbone for any prosecutions of the organizers of this insurrection.
As Phoogie says, moar will be revealed, I reckon...

John Eastman testified today via Zoom in the David Eastman trial in Alaska.
The January 6 committee made a startling allegation on Monday, claiming it had evidence that a Trump-backed attorney urged a key witness to mislead the committee about details they recalled.
Though the committee declined to identify the people, CNN has learned that Stefan Passantino, the top ethics attorney in the Trump White House, is the lawyer who allegedly advised his then-client, former White House aide Cassidy Hutchinson, to tell the committee that she did not recall details that she did, sources familiar with the committee’s work tell CNN.
Trump’s Save America political action committee funded Passantino and his law firm Elections LLC, including paying for his representation of Hutchinson, other sources tell CNN. The committee report notes the lawyer did not tell his client who was paying for the legal services.
Over the summer, Hutchinson emerged as a blockbuster witness for the committee, providing key insight into Trump’s state of mind and his actions leading up to the January 6 attack on the US Capitol. Before her public testimony, Hutchinson dropped Passantino and got a new lawyer.
I thought they were probably referring to her at the last hearing yesterday.

Ari Melber versus David Schoen
Part 1
Part 2
Schoen lasted like 5 minutes before he pivots to attacking J6 committee members. He says trump believed deep down the election was stolen and is hanging onto that for dear life.
