I don't think that this information is predictive in any way. The demographics of early vs. in-person voting are entirely different and there is no way to tell how it will split in this election. Too. also, I don't think that polling can make any useful predictions about the impact of ticket splitting (or anything else) given the different and unknowable biases due to sampling by land-line, cell phone, and online. Polling models depend on the assumption of random sampling and estimates of the demographic makeup of the electorate. We know that no one is getting good random samples anymore and there are far too many unprecedented dynamics in play to have any confidence in what the demographic makeup of the electorate will be -- especially given the roadblocks to voting that are being tried out in this election (as well as attempts to ameliorate said roadblocks).New Turtle wrote: ↑Wed Oct 26, 2022 3:17 pm

Not sure how predictive this will be in some states like AZ and GA because polling suggests there may be some ticket splitting.

I'd even get a car camo cover from the part of the motorcar company that has those things, and show up every day at the polls driving one of these.

Maybe their presence was to make sure it stays that way? As long as they aren't intimidating, I'd rather have LE present than those wackjobs.
That's my thought. There's been a lot of threats to our election employees since 2020 and LE is doing what's necessary to protect everyone. Not to mention, Clark County sheriff Lombardo is the R candidate for governor. It would certainly be bad publicity for him if the wackos were running amuck, even if some of them are his supporters. I voted for him for his current position but I don't like him (or any R) for gov.Slim Cognito wrote: ↑Wed Oct 26, 2022 7:23 pmMaybe their presence was to make sure it stays that way? Oh I'm sure they are carefully timed to try an get people at one another's throats, and to get republicans to the polls to show those libs for "bringing up this shit again!!"Slim Cognito wrote: ↑Mon Nov 07, 2022 6:57 pm I don't doubt there has been interference, but are these comments more propaganda fuck with-your-head than a confession?

I wish I had that confidence, but I don't see it.
I am sincerely hoping I'm wrong.
