Her voters don't care, they think just like her, and they're down with her previous statement.
The opposition party knows she meant what she said, and that this is just her trying damage control.
So again, why is she bothering with this...ohhh right, she's an attention whore and the news outlets will stupidly allow her airtime to fake apologize.

So they've been planning her contrition speech for a week but she just visited the museum today? So the visit didn't prompt her change of heart?
Seems like it would be much more effective if she visited the museum first, and then decided she made a mistake with her previous comments, and then made a speech.
