Just dropped my eldest daughter at the airport. She is headed home to Albuquerque. I miss her already. :crying:

I will be picking up my baby sister in about 20 minutes. Great that the flights worked out so well.

Out kitties will be really confused now.

Realist, my heart breaks for you. I have avoided saying anything, but I lost my fiance many years ago. He owned a private plane and died when the engine failed and he wasn't able to safely land, having already attained full altitude when it happened. He was in Canada heading for Alaska.

I am so very sorry for you loss, I know it hurts so bad and I know the wild emotional rollercoaster you are likely experiencing.

You have my deepest sympathy and want to send you lots of :grouphug: I am so glad family members have been able to come and visit. It's important to be around people who really love and care for you and support you in this terrible time.

I dropped off some donated items today at the Page County, Virginia animal shelter in Mia’s memory. They were very grateful, and asked me to pass on their condolences and their thanks.

I donated to the Fogbow since Mia was its first member. Much love to Realist and family and friends. :bighug:

realist wrote: Thu Apr 15, 2021 4:43 pm Some of you may have followed the postings re Princess foofypants And her liver travails.

We have been running tests and have met with the people at the Georgetown transplant center to see if she can get in the list.

Last night she was not feeling well. She went through the night Feeling Ill and this morning I called an ambulance to take her to ER at our local hospital. They have been great this far.

Long story short, her MELD score has jumped from 19 to 34. That coupled with some other issues, after running a number of tests, they contacted Georgetown again and they agreed to take her and they have a bed available (for the time being) in ICU. They have just informed us they are going to med-e-vac her from here to Georgetown.

Sadly, I will not be able to follow nor be able to see her until morning. 😢

We will hope they can find a liver for her and that she makes it until then.

We do know she is in great medical hands.

Will update as I can.
Today marks a year since the Princess and I were at Frederick Memorial ER for most of the day, and today marks the beginning of a nightmare that lasted six days before she finally could fight no more.

Gonna be a long week for me. I miss her still every minute of every day.
