I've seen your posts on fashion, art, architecture, etc. You have more style in your little pinky than Sinema has in her whole wardrobe!

To be fair, Sinema's fashion tips would be a good guideline for what NOT to wear.

You guys didn't like that Lemon Yellow dress with the Sidney Opera House shoulder pads?

Or that white...marshmellow jacket she wore when visiting the EU?

Every lawyer (except for those in cult) who has spoken on the matter has said the same thing (but less colorfully).

Tom Ryan (@tomryanlaw) is active on the bird site.

That makes my day.

Watching the Battle for the Soul of Arizona as it has played out between the horrific MAGAs in state government and the US Congress, and the various GOPers in the county offices who are trying to do their damn jobs is an obsession with me.

Pulling for Steven (I saw him first) Richer to blow Lake out of the water and be awarded many, many millions.

Fascism as we know it today started in Italy under Il Duce. One of his slogans was "Make Italy Great." Does this sound familiar? Il Duce did make the trains run on time. Then he decided that he needed to do something about his enemies.

Kari Lake may taunt Stephen Richer into suing her for defamation a second time
Opinion: Kari Lake mimics Donald Trump in all things, but continuing to defame someone after losing a defamation lawsuit may not be wise.

I’m not sure whether former news reader and failed Republican governor candidate Kari Lake understands how deciding not to defend a defamation lawsuit is admitting you defamed someone.

Instead, it’s beginning to look like Lake is following in the footsteps of her Dear Leader, Donald Trump, and is setting herself up to be sued for defamation ... again.

And for good reason.

Maricopa County Recorder Stephen Richer sued Lake for defamation after she claimed, numerous times, with zero proof, that he had somehow helped to rig the election against her. She continued to do so after she failed in court, time and again, to prove such allegations.

As a result, Richer and other elected officials had to deal with death threats from the most dangerously gullible elements of MAGA.

I would like to see Trump and Lake end up the same way as Il Duce and his consort. (NADT.)

Rise and Fall of the Third Reich is an outstanding audiobook, my month of study about Germany vs MAGA is getting close to adding a topic here. I just want to be sure to separate the mood and blind obedience of MAGA from the most evil destruction in our lifetimes.

Meanwhile, reply from Tom Ryan:
Tom Ryan @tomryanlaw 4h
That’s an overheated analysis. There is plenty of evidence that even without their Grand Jury appearance they would be indicted.

From the Chan 12 TV interview above -

"... she (Lake) has the IQ of an empty beer can ..." referring to how she is spinning the default.

Love it.

The video has clips of Richer (p0rtia saw him first, but I'm still a fan gurl) and a unique expression to add to the Fogbow Lexicon and Snarkasaurus! Per Tom Ryan, "Her IQ is lower than an empty beer can."

I now officially PROCLAIM: I saw Tom Ryan FIRST!!!!!!

Yes, I smiled at that too when I heard it! Tom Ryan had been soberly precise in his explanations and then he threw that curve in!

Per SCOTUS' docket, SCOTUS bounced the supplemental briefing.

I'm guessing SCOTUS didn't agree that the respondents' routine waiver was a sufficient triggering event for a supplemental briefing. :violin:

Waiving a response is so unethical that SCOTUS actually provides a form for that very purpose.

As for them being mad because they did not reply to a motion to expedite, the response was not due until 17 April yet the respondents were nice enough to file their waiver not long after the motion to expedite which put it on an earlier conference.

How stupid is this?

Stupid enough that the SCOTUS has rejected the supplemental brief.
Apr 02 2024 Supplemental Brief of Kari Lake, et al. not accepted for filing. (April 03, 2024)
And Bob beat me again.
