So how do we convince Putin's inner circle it's time to escort him the top of a high rise and into a room that has a balcony?

I've heard reports that some of the oligarchs are turning against him, so that's a start. The other report I've heard is that he is surrounding himself with Yes Men a la Trump, so...

BNO News @BNONews wrote: Kremlin says UK Foreign Secretary Liz Truss comments sparked Putin decision to put nuclear forces on high alert; unclear which specific comments the Kremlin is referring to
Will have to look up Truss’ comments.
Edit:
:snippity:
Speaking at a press briefing on Monday, Mr Peskov said: "Statements were made by various representatives at various levels on possible altercations or even collisions and clashes between Nato and Russia.
"We believe that such statements are absolutely unacceptable. I would not call the authors of these statements by name, although it was the British foreign minister."
Speaking to Sky News's Trevor Phillips on Sunday, Ms Truss warned that if the Russian president was not stopped in Ukraine, there could be "conflict" between Russia and Nato.
"This long-running conflict is about freedom and democracy in Europe," she said.
"If we don't stop Putin in Ukraine, we are going to see others under threat: the Baltics, Poland, Moldova, and it could end up in a conflict with Nato. We do not want to go there."
Following Russia's comments on Monday, Ms Truss announced further sanctions in the House of Commons.

Big interesting thread regarding Russian social media currently. And history.
Dr. Ian Garner @irgarner wrote: Big Thread: After a few more days of war, I've been carefully monitoring Russian social media reaction and production and I'm more convinced than before that Putin's regime has totally overestimated its ability to win a propaganda war.

Russians are being bombarded with very effective Russian-language anti-war propaganda. We're seeing a lot about Zelensky etc. but Russians are widely viewing some HUGE celebrities with big, big follower counts coming out against the war

A superyacht owned by a sanctioned Russian billionaire arrived in the Maldives on Monday, AFP said.
The White House said Saturday it could seize the yachts of sanctioned Russian oligarchs.
The Maldives doesn't have an extradition treaty with the US.

A superyacht owned by a US-sanctioned Russian billionaire has arrived in the Maldives, Agence France-Presse reported Tuesday. It's one of several Russian-owned pleasure craft believed to be headed to the sunny island nation, which doesn't have an extradition treaty with the US.

Consequence? if Russia did not outright give him the idea, they sure poured resources into spreading it.

This has to be one of the most chilling things I have heard in a while, since claiming a government is illegitimate is generally part of an argument for not recognizing it or supporting another faction.

Sweden is not currently a NATO nation.
Swedish defence minister calls Russian violation of airspace 'unacceptable'

STOCKHOLM, March 2 (Reuters) - Four Russian fighter jets briefly entered Swedish territory over the Baltic Sea on Wednesday, the Swedish Armed Forces said, sparking a swift condemnation from Sweden's defence minister.

Two Russian SU27 and two SU24 fighter jets briefly entered Swedish airspace east of the Swedish island of Gotland in the Baltic Sea, Sweden's Armed Forces said in a statement, adding that Swedish JAS 39 Gripen jets were sent to document the violation.

"The Russian violation of Swedish airspace is of course completely unacceptable," Defence Minister Peter Hultqvist told news agency TT. "It will lead to a firm diplomatic response from Sweden. Swedish sovereignty and territory must always be respected."
