With the now 50+ new guideline in Florida, my dear friend got herself and another neighbor scheduled at Publix for Friday. Woo-Hoo!

Local hospital emailed me yesterday that I'm eligible at last. (They give shots only to current patients.) Checked but of course no appts. Checked several times yesterday, overnight, and again this morning. No joy. Figured it'd be weeks before I'd get one. Then halfheartedly checked again late morning and surprise surprise there was an appointment this afternoon — close to the time when I had another appt. in the area, so made my travel efficient. Hence I got my first Pfizer jab and an appt. set up for 4/13 for the second.

So far: My arm isn't sore, not even to the touch. I'm not surprised; the flu shot doesn't have much impact either.

We'll see about tomorrow.

Sore arm here. Really sore, but no other side effects. I can live with it.

Just got the 1st dose of Moderna. And stickers!

California just opened up for 50+ and I jumped on it. Got the first Moderna shot about an hour ago. No ill effects so far. Second shot at the end of the month.

Moderna. Fully vaccinated. Poll needs an option for those from countries that use Astra Zeneca and other vaccines not yet approved in the US.

My niece got the Astra Zeneca vaccine in Colorado as part of a test group.

I marked myself down for first Vacc, but it was AstraZenica,

Is that a one shot or two shot vaccine? If I edit the poll every vote gets tossed. I won't do that again. I don't think the Astra Zenica vaccine has FDA approval in the US although the test results look good.

If it is a one shot you are fully vaccinated.

Fully vaccinated, mostly because I was in the right place at the right time when the clinic had an extra dose.

Arms were sore for a few days after, and I seem to have developed a permanent knot on my right arm where it went in (tiny, pea-sized maybe). No strange or over the top second dose side effects. Just the sore arm and wanting to sleep for two days.

Fair enough. AZ is a 2 shot. I have the second in 12 weeks (11 now) but the nurse said I will have some immunity after 3 weeks.

Just got home from getting second Pfizer vaccination.

My boys got their first Moderna yesterday, and will get the second one on 4/30.

It is good to see so many of our little community getting vaccinated. We should hit 50% fully vaccinated very soon. We are well above the national average.

Soon we'll reach Nerd Immunity

The princess and I both received ours yesterday. J&J single-dose.

LOTS of people there. The National Guard was handling it all, and it was very well run.

I have had zero side effects. The princess has not been as fortunate. She's "okay" but has some side effects.
