Thanks all! My partner is keeping me company until they chase her out. Typing seems to set off the IV alarm, so prolly won’t be posting more tonight.

Don't trap the IV line under your arm and it should be happy. They go off when there line gets kinked or trapped.

Good to hear that you're recovering without your appendix. There are many worse things to lose! We await your further efforts to educate us.
