I'm pleased. Prosecutors did an excellent job. The defense not so much. They did a shitty job. But excellent lawyers didn't want to get near Trump.

Onto the next round: Sentencing.

From what I understand, in comparable cases (even felony ones), the sentence is usually a fine and probation.

But this case (read: the defendant) is unusual. I would not be surprised if there was some modest jail time added.

I also would not be surprised by "just" a fine and probation.

I will have to find it but I have been saying the NY hush money trial is the one Trump should fear most. Aileen Cannon could not save him and his hand picked SCOTUS could not save him.

Good point by Andrew Weissman--this is vindication for Alvin Bragg. He was villified from all quarters, including some on our side.

So what is the next move? Outside of celebrate of course.

100%. Although, I have to admit, I was a little skeptical as well, but I certainly did not vilify Bragg. I just was kind of "not impressed". I stand corrected. I think this is more impactful than I had been willing to see. I really do hope voters who are on the fence will consider this.
