Reporting on MSNBC right now, Flynn testified yesterday. Was in courthouse for about an hour. Per Joyce Vance, she says that's about as long as it takes to get inside, go through security have a cuppa coffee from southern hospitality and then answer the 5th.

NEW: this is bizarre. Remember when Donald sued Raffensperger and the case was dismissed on appeal? Apparently, trumps lawyers tried to say the infamous Jan 2 call was some sort of “settlement” - perhaps to create the illusion that there was fraud? Check out the pleadings:

Georgia grand jury investigating Trump and 2020 election aftermath completes its work
By Sara Murray and Jason Morris, CNN
Updated 11:52 AM EST, Mon January 9, 2023
CNN — The Atlanta-area special grand jury investigating whether former President Donald Trump and his allies violated the law in their efforts to overturn the 2020 election has completed its work, according to a new court filing.
“Given the special purpose grand jury’s delivery of its final report, the undersigned’s recommendation, and the Superior Court bench’s vote, it is the ORDER of this court that the special purpose grand jury now stands DISSOLVED,” Judge Robert McBurney, who has been overseeing the Fulton County special grand jury investigation, wrote in Monday’s short court order.
Special grand juries in Georgia are not authorized to issue indictments. But the panel will issue a final report that serves as a mechanism for the special grand jury to recommend whether Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis should pursue indictments in her election interference investigation. Willis can then go to a regularly empaneled grand jury to seek indictments.
Willis has already spent more than a year digging into Trump and his associates, kicking off her investigation in early 2021, soon after a January call became public in which Trump pressured Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger to “find” the votes necessary for Trump to win the Peach State in the presidential election.
Over time, her investigation has expanded beyond that call to include false claims of election fraud to state lawmakers, the fake elector scheme, efforts by unauthorized individuals to access voting machines in one Georgia county and threats and harassment against election workers.
McBurney has scheduled a hearing on January 24 for the Fulton County District Attorney’s office and others to argue whether the special grand jury’s report should be made public. McBurney said that the special purpose grand jury recommended that it’s final report be published.

WILLIS: "It's not appropriate at this time to have this report released."
She mentions possibility of "multiple" defendants based on the evidence unearthed by the special grand jury.
"Decisions are imminent."

17 days of silence.
I guess DA Willis has a different definition of "imminent" that then rest of the world. Seems like prosecutors are like contractors.
Sickening words from a talking head to day that she was hesitating because, y'know, she needs to be reelected. That's even worse than the endless patronizing from the "be patient, child" crew.
One of them used the term "semi-imminent" today.
At least this isn't like that utter fuck-up Garland; yes I know, Jack Smith lit a fire under that investigation (thank heavens), but the Heads are Talking months, again, and into 2024 before indictments. I know some of them are having fun delivering maddening opinions, but others are bloody furious. As bloody furious as I am.

Atlanta judge orders partial release of Trump 2020 election investigation report
Part of an Atlanta grand jury's investigation into efforts to overturn the 2020 election will be made public on Thursday, Fulton County Judge Robert McBurney said Monday.
Why it matters: The report's recommendations are expected to influence Fulton District Attorney Fani Willis' decision on whether — and whom — to indict for criminal conduct. McBurney agreed with the district attorney's request in part but decided to release the report's introduction, conclusion and a section where the grand jury discusses concerns about witnesses lying under oath. He also wrote that the report provides "a roster of who should (or should not) be indicted, and for what, in relation to the conduct (and aftermath) of the 2020 general election in Georgia."
Catch up quick: The district attorney had earlier argued that the report should be kept private pending indictment decisions to protect possible defendants’ right to a fair trial. "Decisions are imminent," she said in a recent hearing. National and local media outlets argued for full release of the report because of its "extraordinary" public interest. The investigative panel has heard from 75 witnesses and "countless exhibits" Willis said.
Of note: In a previous statement, lawyers for Trump, who weren't present at the hearing, said they "have never been a part of this process." Trump, they said, has never been subpoenaed nor asked to speak to the DA voluntarily and they therefore assume the grand jury “concluded there were no violations of the law by President Trump.”
What they're saying: "[W]hile publication may not be convenient for the pacing of the District Attorney's investigation, the compelling public interest in these proceedings and the unquestionable value and importance of transparency require their release," McBurney wrote.

ATLANTA (AP) — They were led down a staircase into a garage beneath a downtown Atlanta courthouse, where officers with big guns were waiting. From there, they were ushered into vans with heavily tinted windows and driven to their cars under police escort.
For Emily Kohrs, these were the moments last May when she realized she wasn't participating in just any grand jury.
"That was the first indication that this was a big freaking deal," Kohrs told The Associated Press.
The 30-year-old Fulton County resident who was between jobs suddenly found herself at the center of one of the nation's most significant legal proceedings. She would become foreperson of the special grand jury selected to investigate whether then-President Donald Trump and his Republican associates illegally meddled in Georgia's 2020 presidential election. The case has emerged as one of Trump's most glaring legal vulnerabilities as he mounts a third presidential campaign, in part because he was recorded asking state election officials to "find 11,780 votes" for him.
At least one person who resisted answering questions became much more cooperative when prosecutors offered him immunity in front of the jurors, Kohrs said. Other witnesses came in with immunity deals already in place.

A special grand jury that investigated election interference by former President Donald J. Trump and his allies in Georgia recommended indictments of multiple people on a range of charges in its report, most of which remains sealed, the forewoman of the jury said in an interview today.
“It is not a short list,” the forewoman, Emily Kohrs, said, adding that the jury had appended eight pages of legal code “that we cited at various points in the report.”
She declined to discuss who specifically the special grand jury recommended for indictment, since the judge handling the case decided to keep those details secret when he made public a few sections of the report last week. But seven sections that are still under wraps deal with indictment recommendations, Ms. Kohrs said.
Asked whether the jurors had recommended indicting Mr. Trump, Ms. Kohrs gave a cryptic answer: “You’re not going to be shocked. It’s not rocket science,” adding “you won’t be too surprised.”
