Could somebody please ask Judge Merchan, whatever happened to MARK POMERANTZ, the man Alvin Bragg was furious at for the things he did on this contrived and unconstitutional case, and why wasn’t he allowed to testify? Also, why did Judge Merchan not allow Brad Smith, the leading Election Law Expert in the Country, to testify. He would have ended the case quickly by explaining the Law and stating that President Trump did nothing wrong. Likewise Bob Costello, and all of his direct and irrefutable knowledge, why was he so horribly treated and completely shut down by the Conflicted Judge, and why were his Emails and Text Messages not allowed to be shown…And then, of course, there’s the BIGGEST EVENT OF THEM ALL, but I’m not allowed to talk about it because I’m under an illegal and unconstitutional GAG ORDER. This is the Biden White House at work. ELECTION INTERFERENCE!

That's the way it is in literally every case, as the plaintiff always has the burden of proof.

Well this got interesting might fast -- at least to me.
Todd starts by throwing shade at the judge, mentioning him in a little bit more than passing as he tells the jury _they_ are the deciders. Strike 1.
Reminds--or states for the first time--the jury that fuckhead says he never had sex w Stormy. Strike 2.
Way to alienate the jury and establish your client as the liar in the room.

This is so weird. Blanche is arguing payments were _not_ a Cohen reimbursement, but an unwritten retainer agreement. I thought he had accepted that the payments were a reimbursement.
Or may he's trying to argue that fuckhead _thought_ it was an unwritten retainer agreement because, busy, and did not know throughout 2017 that it was a reimbursement? If so, I guess he's trying to establish that since Cohen did lots of work (not true; Cohen has testified maybe 10 hours), he had reason to believe that Cohen was under a non-existent retainer.

Todd has several times implied (and here states) that Prosecution witnesses gave no testimony that the payment scheme and plan to reimburse under the table occurred before February. Quite, quite, inaccurate. I mean, it started when Pecker refused to pay up and threw the problem at Cohen's feet.

I must have missed something. Which wouldn't be the first time, but reading through the comments above it seems to me the defense presented closing arguments first. Is that correct? Completely backwards. If so, does anyone know why? Are the also then getting two bites at the apple?

Even Trump was complaining about the prosecution getting to go first and last.
So what's up? Was the prosecution's initial closing remarks just super short? Or? Is this really how NY criminal courts work? That's really strange.

And from the NYTimes article blogging the case -
In New York, defense attorneys deliver their closing remarks first, followed by prosecutors. Attorneys are not meant to explain the law in their closing arguments, which Merchan reiterated Tuesday. Instead, attorneys are supposed to make their cases about what they think the facts and evidence in the case show. Then judges explain the law, and jurors are supposed to ultimately decide.

Wow. That's really odd. And "seems" to me to help the defense.
Of course, final arguments are not evidence (so the juries are told) unless that's some other weired NY rule, but just sayin'.
