The KittyBear is glaring at her dad.

WHERE is our mom, and WHEN is she coming home? :waiting:

Umm ... she's 4,500 kilometers away, and she's not coming home for days and days.

Tsk tsk tsk - the correct requirement around here is a long form birth certificate with wee baby footprints, else it didn't happen.

It's all Obamas fault ;)

Ol' Wifehorn has return. KittyBear and Johnny Bento got up for early breakfast, but the MooCow Girl is gonna sleep in ... with her mom, after she was certain her mom was gone forever. This isn't how those Disney movies end, she thought she was a little orphan princess in a house full of men.

Here's why that's ...

I just returned from an unusual two week stay with MIL. I got physically and emotionally depleted. Hubby got two of his friends to drive one of our vehicles with me in it home. Siri had two weeks without her "person". She let me pet her for 30 consecutive minutes last night which is an all time record. She was Velcro Kitty as we slept and today will not let me out of her sight. Who says cats are indifferent to hoomans?

Yeah, but they all react differently.

Johnny Bento is 7 years old now, and he has seen both his parents leave many times, singly or together, for up to a week. We always return, so he was as unstressed as per usual.

The KittyBear, as you know, was a bouncer in a Texas roadhouse in her former life, she pretty much takes anything in stride.

But the MooCow Girl is a very small girl in a great big scary world, and her mom disappeared, just like in the Disney movies, which was just so sad, except she was going to play herself in the movie and be rich and famous, so that part was okay.

Besides, they had 3 grown men taking care of them. :towel:

A rooster named “Pitikok” has ruffled feathers in southern France — and is now poised to test the limits of the law.

A neighbor fed up with the bird’s crowing has taken the owner to court.

But she could be spared a penalty under new legislation protecting the “sensory heritage” of the countryside, from noisy church bells to the smell of farmyard animals.

The rooster’s owner in the village of Oursbelille, 150 kilometers (95 miles) southwest of Toulouse, has faced repeated complaints and is set to appear in court in June.

Man, I don't speak a word of French. Heck, I speak way more German than French, and all the German I know, I learned from watching Hogan's Heroes.

Oh, you knew that.

Never mind. :blackeye:

Number One Son has returned home on this glorious May afternoon after completing his final final exam, which means he has done all the work and is now effectively a college and high school graduate. With a two year degree, he now transfers to North Carolina State University to get a four year degree in Civil Engineering.

Life is good. :towel:

Here's the thing about the dude who goes around telling everyone he's a one-armed transmission mechanic from Argillite, Kentucky:

Not everybody can pull that off, ya know? :blackeye:

Like, I'm not from anyplace. I was born in Monterey, California and lived there almost a year. Then (my dad being in the Navy), we moved ... and moved again and again. I lived - this is all before I left home the day after I graduated high school and did my own wandering - in:

Newport, Rhode Island
Long Beach, California
Williamsburg, Virginia
Coronado, California
La Jolla, California (2 different homes in 5 years, my 4th sib arrived)
Bethesda, Maryland

... with many, many visits to my grandparents in Waverly, Pennsylvania, and I have memories of three trips by car across this great land of ours, back before you could buy meals in the same crappy restaurant in every little town.

So where am I from?

I'm a beach rat who washed up 150 miles from the beach, that's what. :bag:

Well, I woke up in mah own bed this glorious June morn, so I must be back. Damn, I hate South Carolina.

For those who noticed my absence, as always I posted on the Fogbow Facebook account, I was unable to connect to a secure network at the 5 star resort because they assured me it was "a public server" and that their IT team had "taken measures" to make it safe, even though their own website didn't require a password. So I stayed the hell off the tubes for three days, and I'm somewhat rejuvenated.

Here comes a rule. :bored:
