Yes, that is why, while I am not particularly squeamish, I look away when the phlebotomist inserts the needle to draw blood. If I don't, and I know exactly when the jab is coming, there is an involuntary tensing up. By looking away, it is easier to maintain the relaxed state until the inevitable jab.
I do the same, look away and put my mind elsewhere -- it makes the jab easy.

Our local hospital system just called me to schedule me for jab #1 (I went through the county health department for my first jab last week). They are pushing this, but it's also causing some confusion. Too many cooks in the kitchen. It needs streamlined.

Jab. Jeebus do I hate that word. If the inoculation is being done correctly it's not a "jab." That's a British import that should have an unconscionable tariff imposed on its use.

Oh by the way ... because you. I let my hair grow (cause you kinda made fun of me when I shaved my head way back during early corona -- I'm going to be on the meet-up zoom tomorrow and you can see my COVID hair. Join us? Then I'm going to get it cut on Wednesday.

The part I like most is my Windows updates seem to go much faster now.

In Australia, over 50s are all now eligible, but we haven't heard much about progress in nursery homes lately. They were lagging way behind last time I heard. I don't wanna take a shot out of someone else's arm - the 'rollout' has been pretty much a joke in Oz - setting targets they have no way of knowing how to achieve and getting stung by Europe refusing to ship paid for shots.
Anyway, SWMBO and I got our flu shot on Friday, so we now need to wait 2 weeks for the Covid shot.
I'll try setting up an appointment this afternoon.

Finally got my first one, pfizer. Took 6 trips to the local health office and my significant playing my two time cancer card. Here in Costa Rica, it continues to be difficult to get vaccinated although, we are over 20% first shot taken (persons 18 and over). Numbers drop dramatically for second shot. Not sure why at this point. No is eligible under 58 exceptions are hospital workers nursing homes etc. So the numbers are great for 70 and over and then drop off quickly.
And our infection numbers are shooting up right now. New driving restrictions starting tomorrow to go thru the end of the month. Sigh!

Got my second shot yesterday, poll is now 80% vaxed
So far the only symptom is faster data speeds on my cell. The misses got hers at the same time and has had pain fevers and nausea. But she is immunocompromised and it’s expected
