CO-4 is R+13, literally the most Republican district in Colorado. But Boebert is a strong pull for Dem votes.

Thanks! If the Rs are smart (and history says otherwise) a not-insane Republican will run against her in the primary. Just my arrogant opinion.

It's not the R politicans who need to be smart, really. It's the voters. And there's less evidence of that.

Boebert joined a race with (at least) six Republican primary challengers.

I know nothing about Colorado politicians, but to me Deborah Flora seems the strongest:
Deborah Flora is an Award-Winning Filmmaker, Producer, Radio Host, and National Public Speaker. As a mom and founder of Parents United America, she has been on the front lines fighting for parental rights and educational freedom, and as a Director of Public Policy, she has advocated and testified for issues impacting the citizens of Colorado and people across the country.

The Deborah Flora Show has been heard daily on Salem Radio Network’s 710 KNUS for years, focusing on empowering listeners to take a stand on important issues, such as recent live reporting from El Paso and New Mexico highlighting the border crisis.

Deborah has also been featured on numerous media outlets including Fox News, Newsmax, Townhall, and the Daily Wire. As a public speaker, she has spoken at large gatherings across the country such as Value Voter’s Summit, the Freedom Center’s Restoration Weekend, Western Conservative Summit, the March for Life, Politicon, the Reagan Library Foundation, and the Council for National Policy.

As a Partner in Lamplight Entertainment and whet•stone Media Group with her husband Jonathan, an 82ndAirborne Veteran, she has produced numerous projects, including the acclaimed documentaries Whose Children Are They? which screened in theaters nationwide and Lt. Dan Band: For the Common Good, featuring Academy Award nominated actor Gary Sinise, and Academy Award winners Jon Voight and Robert Duvall.

Deborah was one of the founding members of Friends of Abe and helped grow the group from a handful of conservative Hollywood entertainment professionals to over 3,000 members. She has also produced several messaging campaigns including military suicide prevention featuring celebrities such as Gary Sinise, Tom Selleck, Patricia Heaton, Jim Caviezel and Tamera Mowry-Housley among others.

Deborah is a Club for Growth Fellow, a member of the American Enterprise Leadership Network, the Independence Institute’s Center Right Coalition and serves on the Leadership Program of the Rockies Advisory Council. She is also a Board Member for ACE Scholarships, Cantinas Arts Foundation and Colorado Parent Advocacy Network Board. She has spoken around the world with organizations like Youth for Christ International including in the former Soviet Union.
Although I suspect Flora can fundraise, the real challenge will be to convince anti-MAGA Republican money to back someone other than Boebert, who will ride the former president's coattails as far as she possibly can.

I could easily foresee people (on both sides) essentially conceding CO-4 to Boebert, to keep the powder dry for other battles.

Another right-wing nutter who knows we all want what she wants.
I believe the majority of us truly want the same thing: to pursue our dreams, run our business, and provide for our families. We want a great education for our children and to be able to raise them according to our own values in safety. We know that government has only one job…to protect the rights and security of its citizens.

Lauren Boebert blames Barbra Streisand and Ryan Reynolds for forcing her out of district

Lauren Boebert is blaming Barbra Streisand and Ryan Reynolds for forcing her to abandon her Colorado congressional seat and stand in a safe GOP district.

It's a continuation of her claim that well-funded liberals from outside the region have targeted her.

Speaking to Steve Bannon on his "War Room" podcast this past weekend, Boebert (R-CO) said that "Hollywood elites" have been "trying to buy" her current district.

"There has been close to $10 million poured into this district to buy this seat. Colorado's 3rd District is not for sale," she said.

"When you have Barbra Streisand coming in and donating to the Democrat, when you have Ryan Reynolds coming in and donating to the Democrat, it shows you that Hollywood is trying to buy their way into Congress," Boebert told Bannon.

As Business Insider points out, Boebert has attacked Streisand and Reynolds for backing her opponents before. In November, she said her opponent "has plenty of funding from Soros dark money and even Hollywood liberals like Barbra Streisand and Ryan Reynolds."

Yes, they forced her out by *looks* donating $1000 and $500 to the opposition.

I guess she cant compete with that kind of fundraising by turning a quick $20? :?

But, but... The HOLLYWOOD ELITES are OUT TO GET HER!

Doesn't look like she is hurting, she's raised $2.4M this cycle.

The Republicans should probably feel better with her moving. The risk of losing a formerly safe suit is reduced and her new district will go GOP anyway, even is she does not get the nomination.

They would probably be happier if she was not running at all but at least they may have saved a seat.

Colorado Sun: Doug Lamborn won’t seek reelection in 2024, meaning all of Colorado’s Republican-held congressional seats will be open:
Lamborn’s decision is sure to ignite a fierce race in Colorado’s 5th Congressional District, which is a Republican stronghold

U.S. Rep. Doug Lamborn won’t run for reelection this year to a 10th term in Congress, the Colorado Springs Republican announced Friday, a decision that’s certain to ignite a fierce race to replace him in Colorado’s 5th Congressional District.

* * *

Boebert filed paperwork with the Federal Election Commission this week making the move [to CO-4] official. Drew Sexton, her campaign manager, said she wouldn’t run in the 5th District.
CO-5 is R+9, but never has had a Democratic representative.

Apparently Boebert met her ex at a restaurant and it got physical. He claims she punched him. Investigation ongoing, no arrests (yet).

Nah, the ex-husband.
An aide to Boebert said that her ex, Jayson Boebert, called the police to the Miner’s Claim restaurant, claiming that he was a “victim of domestic violence.”
