The story, it's about the hidden donation subscription
Trump’s Repeating Donation Tactics Led to Millions in Refunds Into 2021
Donald Trump and the Republican Party returned $12.8 million to donors in the first half of the year, a sign that their aggressive fund-raising tactics ensnared many unwitting contributors.

The aggressive fund-raising tactics that former President Donald J. Trump deployed late in last year’s presidential campaign have continued to spur an avalanche of refunds into 2021, with Mr. Trump, the Republican Party and their shared accounts returning $12.8 million to donors in the first six months of the year, newly released federal records show.

The refunds were some of the biggest outlays that Mr. Trump made in 2021 as he has built up his $102 million political war chest — and amounted to roughly 20 percent of the $56 million he and his committees raised online so far this year.

Trailing in the polls and facing a cash crunch last September, Mr. Trump’s political operation began opting online donors into automatic recurring contributions by prechecking a box on its digital donation forms to take a withdrawal every week. Donors would have to notice the box and uncheck it to opt out of the donation. A second prechecked box took out another donation, known as a “money bomb.”

The Trump team then obscured that fact by burying the fine print beneath multiple lines of bold and capitalized text, a New York Times investigation earlier this year found.

The maneuver spiked revenues in the short term — allowing Mr. Trump to spend money before the election — and then caused a cascade of fraud complaints to credit cards and demands for refunds from supporters. The refunded donations amounted to an unwitting interest-free loan from Mr. Trump’s supporters in the weeks when he most needed it.

08/09/21

Just reported that over 20% of the people coming across our Southern Border have Coronavirus [not true] (sometimes referred to as the China Virus [by you, ya pig]), many of them being immediately released into our communities—and then our “Government” tells you how to mask up, use three if possible, and how to otherwise act as highly infected people pour into our Country [still not true]. Finish the wall in one month [dude, you had 48 months, what's this one month BS?], stop paying contractors billions of dollars for NOT building the wall, and stop allowing some of the worst prisoners and criminals anywhere in the world into our Country—jails of other countries are being emptied into ours [wow, totally not true, and I have a picture to illustrate, ya racist]. Such a thing has never happened to any nation before. This is what a Rigged and Corrupt Presidential Election gets you! [can I get a woot woot!]

In his accompanying email, Mr Clark also appears to have claimed to know of evidence suggesting that a ballot counting machine made by Dominion Voting Systems – which is currently suing former Trump ally Rudy Giuliani for defamation – had been infiltrated by China, using a thermostat that connects to the internet.

Legal efforts to force Scottish ministers to scrutinise the financing of Donald Trump’s golf and hotel resorts have overcome a significant hurdle, after the Court of Session granted permission for campaigners to seek a judicial review of the Scottish Government’s position.

Wait, what?

Legal experts say latest Trump scandal leaves DOJ ‘no choice’ but to indict the former president
Roxanne Cooper
August 11, 2021

Legal experts are weighing in on Wednesday evening's bombshell report in The New York Times that the U.S. Attorney in Atlanta resigned on January 4 rather than be fired by then-President Donald Trump for refusing to say the election was rigged and there had been massive voter fraud, which Trump had been falsely claiming.

Trump had appointed Byung Pak to be the U.S. Attorney in mid 2017. Hours after top DOJ officials either warned or pressured him – or both – on Jan. 3, that he would be fired, Pak sent his letter of resignation to the President. On Wednesday he told the Senate Judiciary Committee what had happened.

"DOJ has no choice now, they must open a criminal investigation on Trump," says attorney Ron Filipkowski, a former Republican turned Democrat, after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis infamously fired a Health Dept. data analyst.

IMO he's trying to reference the popular maxim that "bullies are cowards" but he got it wrong, because he's an idiot. I like to think that his brain twisted the message because he knows he's a bully and he knows he's a coward, but is trying to dissociate himself from both. So what popped out was the reference to fighting, because he has reputation amongst so many people as a fighter. Ergo, since he's a fighter, he's not a bully (or a coward). It's all about him.

Yes, my mind really wanders around like this. For fun.

Well, that's the thing. He got de-platformed but his spokeswoman just tweets out his lunatic ramblings and then the media gives them oxygen. Drives me crazy.

Trump Keeps Rejecting Pleas From Allies for Pro-Vax Campaign
It’s been more than six months since Donald Trump left office and, despite pleas from multiple friends and advisers, the former president has kept refusing to mount anything resembling a real effort to get his supporters vaccinated.

As COVID-19 continues to rip through the United States, Trump has done little more than make sporadic gestures toward the vaccine, including when he said he’d “recommend” people get the shot during a Fox News interview, while underscoring at the same time that he respected people’s “freedoms” to not get vaccinated.
:snippity:
Some have suggested teaming up with the Bidens, while others have told the former president that it would be an awful idea, both on pragmatic and political levels. Several have suggested Donald and Melania Trump star in public service announcements and others videos, such as those featuring highly visible conservative influencers. Others have pitched the former president on dedicating entire interviews and whole speeches to the topic, making appearances at related venues with doctors, prominent Republicans, or pro-vaccine evangelical leaders.

Some have recommended that Trump welcome vaccination drives at his ongoing series of political rallies, while some have kept their proposals as simple as telling Trump that his office and political operation should blast out reminders to get people and their families vaccinated against COVID-19.

Thus far, hardly any of these suggestions have gone anywhere, nor has anything remotely resembling a serious push from the ex-president come to pass. A Trump spokeswoman did not respond to emails seeking comment for this story.
