But the conclusion of the 22 year old legal memo by the Office of Legal Counsel is not law, and courts are free to disagree, and their conclusions are pretty weak anyway IMHO. "We think our argument is at least plausible." Oh yeah, you can take that to the bank.
Possibly true but note that the 1973 OLC memo from the Nixon era that a sitting president cannot be indicted has been cited multiple times since then. The 2000 memo would allow the DoJ to act against Trump without having to create new policy. Then it would be up to a judge to decide the Constitutional questions that an indictment might generate. I don't think an indictment is a done deal but we know a sitting grand jury is active and hearing testimony.
Recall that the Watergate grand jury wanted to throw the book at Nixon but Special Prosecutor Leon Jaworski said he would not sign an indictment, most likely because of the OLC memo.
Ok. But $cramblebrain is not President anymore. Shirley he can be indictred NOW for something that was inciting an insurrection against the Home Country.

Why were 3 FBI agents traveling with his family?
This just shows to go you that our wise and respected elected leaders do not know how to construct the simplest of sentences. Wasn't it Groucho who once commented something like, "This morning I got up and saw an elephant in my pajamas. What it was doing in my pajamas, I'll never know."

If the U.S. under Joe Biden/Democrats is such craphole banana republic as the cult thinks it is, why would Justice bother prosecuting someone who tried to kill tfg's former adviser?
