The tides of history are hard to redirect. I've thought it was inevitable for a long time. I wondered why he didn't run in Jan. But I suppose it's taken this long for the rats to get used to the idea of an insurrectionist Speaker.

For Jordan to win a floor vote, he would need for Kevin to endorse him. I'm sure Kevin would ask for many impossible things, just out of spite for what they made him agree to.

The bird site is full of chatter that Republicans who refuse to commit to voting for Jordan are being threatened with primary opponents backed by the quadfectee.

Ya I read somewhere that he is busy threatening the Moderates, and a lot of the Moderates are caving. But even so the numbers are that he still needs 20 or so more to fold to actually win.

That's likely why he needed the break till Tuesday; to try and strongarm people

Several "never Jordan" have changed their minds. I will bet pretty much anything that the final holdouts will relent and Jordan will be the next speaker.

"People are saying" it could be a rerun of January, with multiple ballots. Until a few holdouts are bribed to vote "present" in exchange for a base in the purple district (or whatever).
