POUGHKEEPSIE — Three men currently staying at a homeless shelter in Poughkeepsie said they were among a group of 15 recruited a few days ago to portray homeless veterans displaced from upstate hotels by incoming migrants.

In interviews, the men said two people came to the shelter Wednesday saying they had work for 15 men between the ages of 40 and 60. They would be paid $100 for two or three hours of effort, and no heavy lifting would be involved.

The outrage over the fictive new story, but they don't complain when Republicans remove veteran benefits ....
