Yeah, acetaminophen. I don't give medical advice. I'm the kind of person that has grey hair and od's on baby aspirin.

Didn't you say you had a condition that's triggered by aspirin?

Generally speaking, Tylenol is safer. But too much Tylenol can damage your liver, so keep that in mind. As long as you stay within the recommended dosage, you should be fine.

Too also, Tylenol can mask a fever, which could be a sign of an early infection so if you have any (unexpected) redness, despite not running a fever, and you’ve been taking Tylenol on a regular basis, I would call the doctor.

Not to my knowledge. I avoid aspirin because it's an NSAID, and too many of those can cause a lot of nosebleeds. But the Guillain-Barre is not triggered by aspirin, AFAIK.

No fever, no redness, still some bruising and swelling but going down. Took a shower tonight, ol' Wifehorn supervising and inspecting. She says it looks good, the original waterproof bandage still holding (that was shower #3), everything A-OK.

Of course acetaminophen is bad for your liver. Everything good in this world is trying to kill you. And it's going to work! :towel:

Yeah, but I don't avoid those anymore. Too many successful experiments, they haven't caused a relapse.

You did not OD on baby aspirin. You bravely explored the safe limits of OTC drugs for us.

Thank you.

Today I managed to walk about 200 yards down the hill of our driveway and out toward the mailbox. That was about all my leg could do - didn't make it all the way to the mailbox, and I took an oxycodone and two acetaminophen when I was finished - but I did walk down and up the hill and then up the stairs again. So I am making progress, slowly but surely. Tomorrow is two weeks since the Grand Opening of My Right Knee. I have a date with the team on Friday to take out the staples and change the dressing. :batting:

Yesterday I went all the way to the mailbox and back, that's about 230 yds.

That's good. And I wasn't too sore afterward.

Today I'ma do that a couple few times maybe.

You need some Capzatsin-HP ointment for your knee. I swear by the stuff. Shoulders, knees, thumbs, anything that hurts but do NOT get that shit in your eye! Even worked on shingles  I’m never without it.

Today was my first follow-up appointment, everything looked good. I'm only on p. 50 of the thread about the Fani Willis appearance yesterday, so no further details, but all good.

Now, on to more crazy. Just read :oldman: 's comment about how terrible Fani was.

Okay, most of it read, here are the details:

1. There were no stitches or even staples this time. Instead, the kid glued my incision using ... glue. Next he dipped little Susie's pigtails in the inkwell. No, seriously, glue. Well, at least not the kind you lick off your fingers.

15. The incision looks good, but still a bit of bruising and discoloration, in addition to the pain. Healing well, but it still hurts. :violin: :crying:

D. Saw the doctor briefly.

Me: I walked a mile yesterday.
Doc:
:jawdrop:
Me: Well, in two chunks, half a mile each.
Doc: Oh, well that's okay.

Oh, I've been going a lot farther than the mailbox, the past couple days. I really did do a mile yesterday.
