I usually have it on, but more often than not I've fallen back asleep again.

Maria is as dumb as they come.

Back in the day, when I was pushing stocks and Maria was still at CNBC, she had me on her show as a guest a dozen or so times to talk about Microsoft, or to talk about some issue that might affect the investment picture for tech stocks in general.

:snippity:
Yous gots to dig up some footage of this for us

Most of my media appearances predated streaming, and they've aged off of the news organizations' web sites. That's especially true of Maria Bartiromo, since she was on CNBC when I was doing the media game and she has now moved to Fox.

I have a box full of DVD's somewhere in the basement. I'm slowly going through all the boxes of old stuff and will upload one to YouTube if I can find one (and if it's still playable after ~20 years). May be a couple months before I discover what box it's in at the pace of 1-2 boxes per week in a good week.

When you remember that Pirro was pushed from office in disgrace over her role in her husband’s tax fraud, her love of criminals makes more sense.

Watters: "Trump says he will end the war in Ukraine and gets indicted a week after? You don’t mess around with defense contractors' money. Contractors run the country. The reason Trump is such a threat is they can’t control him and the country destroys what it can’t control."

One of those articles (the 1st I think) says this:
Fox’s arguments appear weak. It claims there’s a difference between not knowing something is true and knowing it’s false. But running something without any evidence that it is true sounds like the very definition of malice — i.e., reckless disregard for the truth.
In 1838, Abraham Lincoln said
“I believe it is an established maxim in morals that he who makes an assertion without knowing whether it is true or false, is guilty of falsehood; and the accidental truth of the assertion, does not justify or excuse him.”

I don't have time to go digging through Augustine, but IIRC, he generally said that you could be telling the truth and still lying. The concept of lying was not based on the truthiness of the facts (I'm pretty sure Augustine used the term truthiness, I'm pretty certainly sure of that maybe) but on the intent. If the intent is to deceive the recipient, then you are lying even if your statements are, by the book, true.

In short, lying comes from the heart, not the words.

The same is true if you omit salient facts that alter the meaning of the statement, as a whole. That's why the traditional courtroom oath is to tell the "Truth, the WHOLE truth and nothing but the truth".

Indeed, a witness who says "I saw the defendant running away from the fallen victim at the crime scene," but neglects to add "There was another guy who ran in the other direction actually holding the bloody murder weapon" is just as bad as the witness who says "I saw the defendant stab the victim."

Interesting contrast yesterday.. I was watching coverage of the events in Tennessee on CNN/MSNBC and when I checked in on Fox, they were either complaining about beer cans or demanding to keep their toilet paper

Kendra seems to be immune to the Foxes. Thank goodness!

I do keep an eye on her though for signs she’s had too much exposure. So far, she’s all good.

Thank you for your service, Kendra. :bighug:
