I went to work for bad people once. I didn't know they were bad people when I started, and I didn't know they were bad people when I left.
My first accounting job after I got out of the Army was with United Fruit (Chiquita) where I was hired more because I was familiar with Central America than I was with Accounting. Turns out that some of the things we called "Security" the UN and some other human rights organizations called "Death Squads".keith wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2023 9:32 pmI went to work for bad people once. They were in jail 24 months after I left for Insurance Fraud.
I can't say I was shocked when I found out though. I mean I did know they were assholes playing on the fringes, but I didn't think they were actual crooks.
I had F&F on a bit this morning. They were on the couch talking DeSantis vs Trump. Seems like they're leaving DeSantis and LOL Kilmeade actually made some comment about Trump will have a hard time winning over the undecided voters if he keeps dropping names like Horse Face.Fox News is mad that VP Harris was nice to a trans person. Harris Faulkner opines that she should instead spend her time interacting with "some of those parents whose kids are dying from fentanyl."
tuned in to see how Jesse Watters was talking about the latest school shooting at the top of his show and, welp, i guess this is a bigger story
i was expecting very ugly stuff from Tucker Carlson about the Nashville shooting, and it still might come, but at the top of his show he did the same thing as Jesse Watters the hour before -- mention it briefly and then move on to other stories
“We’re not gonna fix it. Criminals are going to be criminals.”
- Rep. Tim Burchett, revealing what Republicans really believe about school shootings.
You see, Slim, this is the precise reason for banning abortion. We need to guarantee a goodly supply of children to replace those who lose their lives to mass shootings. Why protect those children that are alive when we can just ramp up the supply chain?Slim Cognito wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 12:53 pm We can't stop criminals from murdering actual living, breathing children so let's get busy on that abortion ban. There are women out there thinking they have control over their own bodies.
Actually, the crime rate in New York City is lower than Indiana.Kendra wrote: ↑Wed Mar 29, 2023 11:06 am Saw a few minutes of F&F this morning. The three on the curvy couch were whining about crime in New York, and spike in the subways - which is fair. But...then Ainsley starting pouting about it being so bad because is was mostly dems who won the last election cycle and how much better if Republicans were in charge. I'd so like to get a comment from her about this:

Indeed it does.
https://www.neighborhoodscout.com/ca/bakersfield/crimeWith a crime rate of 48 per one thousand residents, Bakersfield has one of the highest crime rates in America compared to all communities of all sizes - from the smallest towns to the very largest cities. One's chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 21.

“You got all of New York supporting Bragg.. If you’re a company that ships goods to New York, stop shipping to New York. It’s about time they paid the price..”
Cain: Today, he went to visit tornado victims in Mississippi. And he is trying to paint a picture for the American people. One of us is here to help you, the other one is about to get arrested. It's all very calculated.
Michael Steele.Yeah, but as you said, you only sent one of your ivy league degrees back. So, by your standard, are you saying you're still dumb? Or just less dumb?
Giuliani: If a judge doesn't throw it out immediately, investigate the judge’s connection to the Democratic Party and figure out how much money he paid for his judgeship.
