The National Enquirer (is it still around?) used to stoke this kind of outrage as far back as my childhood, lost in the mists of time. Government spends your tax dollars studying frog sex! Or some outrageous-sounding thing. Even as a kid, it made me skeptical. I Later I would look up what was actually being studied, and it was usually something like x chemical in y animal promotes z health benefit, which could help humans with abc conditions. If I tried to explain that to my undereducated family members, they'd tune out as the outrage had taken root and education had made me elitist.

I’ve heard plenty about it. Heard that the weapon he used is pretty much banned in every country on earth except the US. Go figure.

Well, what he meant was, since this was an Asian man, the media should report that white conservatives don't do that sort of thing.

I heard a LOT of coverage on the shooting except on Fox, where they were mostly covering Biden’s classified docs. And Hunter.

Guess that makes sense, I never flipped channel to Fox. My bad I guess.

And the Guardian had major coverage of Monterey Park and the US News is currently led by the Half Moon Bay shootings.
And CBS, ABC, and NBC are the same.
