Me too. Sounds like an interesting premise. I just.watched "Leave No Trace" on Netflix. Single dad,. veteran with PTSD goes with his teenage daughter to live on Fed land. Not much dialog, they were frugal with words for sure. Beautiful, stark and heartbreaking.

Okay, found Woo. The title is "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" and it is a series, 22 episodes ~70 minutes each. Not sure if I want to start that tonight. "Leave No Trace" sounds like something I may have seen but I will give that a shot.
EDIT: Leave No Trace is available on Apple TV (not for me), and Starz (not for me). It's available free on Kanopy if your local library system is a part of their network. I can't find my library card. LOL

Pluto TV has added a new Drew Carey - The Price Is Right channel. They still have the Bob Barker channel too. Love seeing the old Barker shows, that's my era. I am really good at knowing 1981 prices. Not so good at 2023.

Neon is The Price Is Right King. In a way I'm glad that Bob Barker still seems in good spirits and health, he's an icon in the industry, and wish him the best. Listened to his audiobook which was fun. The Drew Carey episodes were running 2010 shows, hard to believe how long he's been doing the show.
BUT Bob Barker was a real prick to his models and staff -- several ended up having to sue him for sexual harassment and other things. Janice, Dian, and Holly all had problems with him. When Janice got fired, after introducing him for over 4,000 shows, he didn't even let her back on the air to say goodbye. Granted, it was a different era, but he was still a pig.
I do love those old episodes, the clothes, products, and attitudes of the contestants are great fun. I like the original Bob Cullen black and white Price Is Right shows too, they are on YouTube and people won huge prizes like round trip first class travel around the world and lavish jewelry. I love seeing people light up when they win, always have.
My Mom was on Let's Make A Deal and I was on a CBS game show at 8 years old with my Dad (we won). I was also on Wheel of Fortune as a teen. Mom and Dad were on The Tonight Show with Joey Bishop guest hosting... they had a "talent show" and appeared as "Madame X and the Philadelphia Harpist". Mom sang Birth of the Blues and Dad played a comb with tissue paper over it. Mom wouldn't stop singing and sort of pushed Dad out of the way (she was a pro singer but it was still funny), the band joined in and she rocked it. They got a nice dinner gift certificate. I subsequently spent a lot of time in the game show world because we lived in SoCal at the time -- it was magic for a kid. Richard Dawson taught me to play backgammon and had lots of meal breaks with Bob Eubanks, but never spent time with Bob. He wasn't known as the friendliest guy around.

I always had creepy vibes from Bob with the way his eyes would fixate and occasional inappropriate comments he make when reacting to the product models on stage. I remember thinking, "Oh yeah, he is Farking them." -- and that is before the details of sexual harassment.
I am not a Drew Carey fan, but at least I don't see him lusting after the models. Plus they added a Male model to the crew (he's cute).

I've always been a Drew Carey fan. I think it took him a bit of time to grow into the role of host of The Price is Right, but he had big shoes to fill. I think he does a fine job.

A Stand-Up Comedy Routine Discovered in a Medieval Manuscript: Monty Python Before Monty Python (1480)
A funny thing happened on the way to the 15th century…
Dr. James Wade, a specialist in early English literature at the University of Cambridge, was doing research at the National Library of Scotland when he noticed something extraordinary about the first of the nine miscellaneous booklets comprising the Heege Manuscript.
Most surviving medieval manuscripts are the stuff of high art. The first part of the Heege Manuscript is funny.
The usual tales of romance and heroism, allusions to ancient Rome, lofty poetry and dramatic interludes… even the dashing adventures of Robin Hood are conspicuously absent.
Instead it’s awash with the staples of contemporary stand up comedy – topical observations, humorous oversharing, roasting eminent public figures, razzing the audience, flattering the audience by busting on the denizens of nearby communities, shaggy dog tales, absurdities and non-sequiturs.
Repeated references to passing the cup conjure an open mic type scenario.
The manuscript was created by cleric Richard Heege and entered into the collection of his employers, the wealthy Sherbrooke family.
Other scholars have concentrated on the manuscript’s physical construction, mostly refraining from comment on the nature of its contents.
Dr. Wade suspects that the first booklet is the result of Heege having paid close attention to an anonymous traveling minstrel’s performance, perhaps going so far as to consult the performer’s own notes.
Heege quipped that he was the author owing to the fact that he “was at that feast and did not have a drink” – meaning he was the only one sober enough to retain the minstrel’s jokes and inventive plotlines.
Dr. Wade describes how the comic portion of the Heege Manuscript is broken down into three parts, the first of which is sure to gratify fans of Monty Python and the Holy Grail:
…it’s a narrative account of a bunch of peasants who try to hunt a hare, and it all ends disastrously, where they beat each other up and the wives have to come with wheelbarrows and hold them home.
That hare turns out to be one fierce bad rabbit, so much so that the tale’s proletarian hero, the prosaically named Jack Wade, worries she could rip out his throat.

Ah yes. Pre-Hayes Code Betty. The code came in in 1935 for cartoons (IIRC) and Betty changed her style gradually to satisfy the censors. Skirts got longer, tops got less revealing, roles got less provocative. But she kept getting sexually assaulted by men and escaping with the help from Bimbo and KoKo.

okey then. I finished my binge watch of Succession. 40 episodes of 60 minutes each (last episode 90 minutes).
It drags painfully and there is a lot of repeating the same story lines... but far too slowly.
The production doesn't deserve the Emmy nominations, but the actors do. They made the best they could with what they were told to work with.

Moving on. Now into watching season 1 of Columbo on Tubi.tv. Some of those early episodes don't make to network TV replay because the runtime is too long. (back in the day, it wasn't 30+% commercials. ) I'm reliving actors we all know as younger versions of themselves playing as special guests in the stories.

"Load-bearing nougatine." I have just learned a new food concept from The Great British Baking Show: The Professionals Season 7. Judges Cherish and Benoit are back and 6 new teams of supernaturally talented contestants. In current episode, they must bake a sculpture using 80 choux pastries. I am able to bake about a dozen choux pastries with the help of a friend and strong drink.
Was looking for something to watch as I am staying in and not attending the fireworks downtown.
Not so good at 2023.
Makes me happy I was not born into a multi-billion dollar family.
