Mrs. Davis on Peacock streaming.
Sometimes when sci-fi and religion are combined, a good story comes out. Betty Gilpin is a nun that does battle with the AI that killed her Dad and her convent. Grrr....
And we find out that Jesus is alive, has a small Middle Eastern restaurant, his customer's call him Jay, and he makes a heavenly falafel. They think He's doing something with pineapple to make it pop.

We’re on episode 3 of Mrs Davis. I went in not knowing anything about it. I think I have a handle now
It’s allegorical, funny, confusing and well done. 8 episode total.
Also on Peacock: Poker Face.
A woman of indeterminate, middle-ish age in Vegas. She can tell when people are lying and it’s caused her a great deal of trouble. Working for a casino in the first couple of episodes we’re introduced to her character and some back story. Episode three starts some other story line.
She’s not your typical heroine. For one, she seems to drink a lot and rarely brushes her hair. But she’s smart and has a moral compass ( in Vegas?!?) so we’ll see.

Loved Poker Face. A few were a little uneven, but overall--great!

They're fighting about the Queen Cleopatra docuseries on Netflix and whether she's Black or not. The Egyptian government got involved for some reason and said no. I think it's great there's a four-part series about Egyptian history, many would not know about the rest of the history with Caesar and the Ptolemys except for the series. It's more docu than series, but it's an easy watch.

Someday I may make time to watch that thing about Crowley. I have his auto-hagiography and have managed to read about a third of it. I find him much less 'mysterion' than 'braggart bullshit artist', but some of his stuff is 'fun'. I do like the anecdotes about tricking Huxley and others noted 'artists' from his drinking clubs.

Bill, I was just kidding, it's a little playful running joke with Neon -- Korean Jock Porn and now, Baby Shark. He makes me watch all his favorite shows.
Netflix just released the six-episode Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story. Shonda Rhimes is incredible, her stories flow effortlessly and nail the zeitgeist. Of course, it's #1 and most liked on there now. Julie Andrews is back as the narrator (melts) and many of the cast, including the wonderful Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte. Infinitely binge-able, 95% liked this TV show of Google users. It was expensive, but Netflix having Shonda and Ryan Murphy will pay dividends forever.
As a backgrounder, "Here’s a 101 on the real Queen Charlotte: Lady Danbury and Violet Bridgerton are characters invented by author Julia Quinn, but Queen Charlotte was a real person! Here’s just the briefest intro to her story: She lived from 1744 to 1818 and married the heir to the English throne when she was a teenager. In the show, she doesn’t seem to have kids of her own, but in real life, she had more than ten children. The thing about knowing Mozart may have been true!"

Trailer:
Just received from Broward Library the audiobook: PARIS THE MEMOIR of Paris Hilton. It was a pretty long wait, it's popular. Surprisingly, it's 8 hours and 22 minutes. Haven't read any reviews and don't want to. This should certainly be a thoughtful, intellectual ride.

Mobster flicks are my bag. They're good for learning your language,
The Deprarted is okay. It was Jack Nicholson's last real movie. Like some of the reviews say, he chews his scenery. He went AWOL after that, but last week reclaimed his front-row Laker's seats. With Lou Alder and his kid. Surprsie, surprise.
The last mobster flick that impressed me was Peaky Blinders. It got sentimental at times, which is where all mobster flicks fail. Stick to the caper. Tom Hardy and Adrien Brody read the script right, in their roles as a Yankee mobster and a Camden Town Jew. No spoilers here.
I mostly watch sports but I'm running out of teams I can root for.

Hubby likes Pesky Blinders. Intermission is a good caper gone wrong movie. They both have Cillian Murphy.

RRR, a Bollywood-esque epic (with much CGI and wire-fu) about a basically fictional but totally awesome uprising against the post-WW I British Raj.
