We'll see. Eventually. But I don't think there is any danger of Kavanaugh doing the right thing.

When you see someone like that say the word "Probably," he knows he is proposing bullshit.

Cannot be with her? Who would have thought that they would not have a candle night dinner at the bestest restaurant that T tower can offer? Does lady T not appreciate the golden palace on top of the Babylon tower?

Ya there's nothing stopping him having dinner with her when court is concluded for the day. He even claims to own restaurants in NY where he could have a table booked.

Gavin Newscum, the failed Governor of California, who is allowing his once beautiful State to go to Hell, refuses to recognize that Republicans are the Leaders on I.V.F. (Fertilization) - We are the ones taking care of Women, and now, after 53 years, where both Parties and all Legal Scholars and Experts wanted the always difficult and contentious subject of Abortion to go back to the States, we got it done, and now the States are setting their own Rules and Regulations - and it’s really working! We’ve given the Abortion Issue back to the Voters. It’s clean, it’s decisive, and we’ve taken Radicalization by Democrats, the killing of a Child in the 8th Month, 9th Month, or even after Birth, off the table. It now seems probable that our Country can start to pull together on the always difficult and controversial Issue of Abortion. IT’S UP TO THE STATES NOW, WHERE EVERYBODY WANTS IT, AND WHERE IT ALWAYS SHOULD HAVE BEEN!

He's delusional. And anyone who says it belongs to the states is lying. No one who is against abortion believes it should ever be legal anywhere.

The "failed governor" survived a recall attempt and was reelected for a second term with 59% of the vote, which is more than Trump can say.

Yeah, in the run-up to SCOTUS overturning Roe v. Wade, the R's were loudly proclaiming that the issue should be left to the states. They got what they want.

Now that some states are actually, GASP, formalizing a woman's right to an abortion, they are screaming for a national ban on abortion.

Last November, here in Ohio, an amendment to the State Constitution that guaranteed a woman's right to choose, passed by a wide margin. The R's who control that state legislature, said, out loud, that they were going to try to find a way around it.

So, it should be left up to the states, unless the states make the wrong choice.

Who, exactly, recognizes that Republicans lead in In vitro fertilization (fertilization)?

It would effectively be banned because they use multiple embryos with the understanding they won't all be viable.

Hospitals and doctors are refusing to do IVF in states with the strict new abortion laws for fear of prosecution. Talk about the law of unexpected circumstances.

More men, women choosing permanent contraception after Dobbs
Rates of vasectomy and tubal sterilization rose in the months after the Dobbs decision removed a federal right to abortion, according to data presented at the ASRM Scientific Congress & Expo.

The rate of tubal ligation increased significantly in states where abortion became illegal, whereas increased vasectomy rates were similar across states with different levels of abortion access, according to Jessica Schardein, MD, MS, an andrology fellow and visiting instructor at University of Utah Health.

No worries; I'm sure the Gilead-like states (Texas, Idaho, Missouri, et al) will criminilize such procedures.

Off Topic
Alright, that's it. I deliberately don't look at the abortion thread and some others because I would explode at the stupidity and bullshit, but I've had it up to here with the bullshit off topicly leaking everywhere at this stage because people are stuck up their own ass. So its high time Time to say my piece.

Firstly,, its REAL EASY to pick an example a country that DOES NOT ACTUALLY EXIST, and is in the middle of a worldwide disaster where most people have become infertile. In that situations Abortion WOULD be a vastly different And ya, you get a close in view of what happens to handmaidens because the Main character is a handmaiden, but Handmaidens are NOT the only ones brutalised. The actual book shows Men getting brutalised too, but its in the background so you can ignore it and the TV is filled with Torture porn so you can pretend that handmaidens are the only ones getting brainwashed for their uterus. That meansYou can wave handmaidens around and PRETEND its all about brutalising the wimminz because Habortion, except that the sequel shows other countries where abortion is still illegal because survival of the human race reasons, but fertile women are not treated like Handmaidens.

Funny that everyone stopped talking about the Sequel when it came out and they found it was not filled with progressive torture porn.

Secondly in ACTUAL Gilead like countries on planet Earth, abortion is legal. On PLANET EARTH, Abortion is more likely to happen in countries where women are brutalised. In the very Gilead like country of Iran, Abortion is legal up to 16 weeks and you can get dispensation for further along. I guess Iran is progressive, in that it actually fucking exists.m But then the Gilead in your head is not the one that was in the book either.

THIRD, if someone has not already gone for sterilisation because they have made the choice not to have any more children, then they are using Abortion as Contraception. That is not fucking cool. That has nothing to do with Incest-rape-poormotherswaaa, that's people killing pregnancies because they cant be assed to make responsible choices in life.

And since I cant be assed to go though the OTHER replies in this thread about congratulation yourselves on the abortion rather than the fucking Turnip,

No, women wont be dying because of lack or reproductive choices,. The year Roe was decided, the actual number of women who died from Illegal abortions was 42. In 2022 the number of women who died from "safe legal abortion" was 8. Yes, women STILL DIE FROM ABORTION.

Any neutral observer would conclude that Roe had had zero effect on women dying from Abortions, as the increase in women surviving tracks with the general improvement in care, and the general drop in women dying from pregnancy complications. You have it in your head that women are going to start falling down dead, when in fact that's an image that was always a lie. Foul propaganda to make you feel justified. Even back in the old days women dying from Abortions was rare just like today women dying from abortions is rare. Roe changed exactly fuck all, in terms of women's survival.

As I've shown you even the foul Catholic Church, which you have been told wants wo,men to die says that reproductive care is fine to treat medical conditions. Hell heres Catholic Church moral teaching on ectopic Pregnancies.

https://www.catholic.com/qa/ectopic-pre ... ble-effect

Who am I kidding, no-one will click on the link. Ya, operations to fix them are fine. No, We don't want women to die.

And no the problem with IVF treatment is not that some embryos will be non viable. it's that perfectly viable embryos will be destroyed at the end. You are destroying Embryos that would potentially grow up to be perfectly fine humans just because they are not wanted anymore. That's not easily dismissed with bullshit like "oh its the mothers choice." The morality of IVF has been a topic of debate in the medical profession for years, and it was discussed in ethics classes when I was in college.

This isn't anything new, and it's something lots of people are uncomfortable with invcludong non religious people. Its not just a factor of "oh they want it so it should be done." There's lots of things people want to do to their bodies that are illegal for good reason.

I'm sure that you have been told by the left wing versions of Fox News that unspecified doctors are refusing to do X and Y because of the EEEVIL, but frankly I'm just as willing to throw that to the curb as the bullshit examples FOX pulls out of its ass. Anyone who does that has already dismissed any legal and moral thoughts from their head.

So, ya, Gilead is a nice safe evil empire to point at, because it does not exist. The real world evil empires that suppress, brainwash and brutalise women love themselves some Abortion. And that's inconvenient for the narrative. And the rest is slogans and ill thought out BS.

Well I guess I'll just read the court case threads till the bullshitters infest those with their off topic crap too.
Sigh. I remember when I used to enjoy this board. Oh well.
