Decoding Fox News @DecodingFoxNews wrote: Jesse Watters declared that no one has had any issues working for Donald J. Trump or his companies. I've attached an excerpt from ABC's Dateline. Martin Rosenberg, a small business owner, said over 100 contractors who worked on Trump's casinos in Atlantic City weren't paid.

Trump’s habit of hiring smaller subs and stiffing them has been well known in the developer community in NYC for many, many years. This is not news. I’ve heard he doesn’t do this to his concrete contractors which reportedly have connections with the Russian mob. And he doesn’t argue about the quality of their work either.

Trump has entered a naming agreement with a company selling Trump sneakers & fragrances. He’ll soon tout the shoes at “SneakerCon” in Philly this afternoon.
So... Trump's latest grift. $399/pair, limit 3 pairs per buyer.

My thought... get a photo of Josh Hawley running in them.

1000 pair at $399 each? That'll pay less than 4 days interest on his judgement.

A lot less than that. Remember the Turnip has only leased his name for these things

But apparently the same shoe, gold lame and all, is available online for $18 bucks. They have added some value-subtract logos and such to try to justify the 399. So at those prices I guess the seller would be happy with the 99 and Turnip could keep the 300.

It seems hardly worth the effort.

He should try marketing gold lamé pillows.

Might be the next Mike Lindell?

ETA: On a hunch, I checked eBay. There seem to be 23 pair for sale, going price about $2,000. Ten pair have already been sold. Highest was $2,999.98.

There is always a bigger sucker.

Its probably really about displaying how "popular" he is. The campaign likely had their underlings buying them all up.

Yep. Some days he can spend 2 hours on it to hide it somewhat. Other days it either does not work or he cant stand sitting there that long, so the cap gets stuck on his head

And I don't think Dolly is particularly keen on Trump, is she? The causes she generously supports seem antithetical to the appalling attitudes and behavior of the shitgibbon and the shitgibbonites.

A few years old, but interesting.

Parton hasn’t called for Trump’s head, nor got behind figures in the Democratic Party in comparison – instead she has signalled her values with actions rather than dialogue. It helps explain why there hasn’t been as much of an anxious urge from many of her left-wing fans to have her speak out, even if interviewers continue to grill her over it.

I saw or read an interview with Dolly many years ago and she said she wanted to be remembered for doing good in the world (or something - I can’t recall the exact quote).

I used to watch her on locally-produced teevee when I was a kid - she was a semi-regular on The Cas Walker Farm and Home Hour.

Trump speaks of new ‘N-word,’ compares himself to Al Capone in off-script moment at rally in wake of legal woes

https://nypost.com/2024/02/18/us-news/d ... ew-n-word/
There’s a new “N-word” on Donald Trump’s mind, and it doesn’t even start with the letter N.

The Republican frontrunner in the race for his old job lashed out at his mounting legal woes during a rally in Waterford Township, Michigan Saturday.

“My whole life I didn’t know what the N-word— I didn’t know what indictment meant,” Trump quipped at one point, veering off script.

got indicted more than Alphonse Capone, Scarface,” he added, repeating a favorite line. “I’m just doing something for incredible people — it’s called the American people…It doesn’t bother me.”

President Biden’s campaign quickly highlighted the apparent slip-up as it attempted to deflect attention from concerns about the incumbent president’s age and string of verbal flubs amid a damning special counsel report that slammed his mental sharpness.

In recent years Trump had said the “N-word” referred to the word “nuclear,” not the offensive term for a dark-skinned person.

Trump VP contender Tim Scott doesn’t want to talk about vice president’s role in certifying election

https://apnews.com/article/tim-scott-pe ... 159907be59
Sen. Tim Scott, a potential running mate if Donald Trump becomes the Republican presidential nominee, is treading carefully on questions about whether he would have certified the 2020 election had he been vice president at that time.

On Jan. 6, 2021, about two months after Trump lost the White House, then-Vice President Mike Pence defied his boss and refused to use his largely ceremonial role in overseeing the election certification process to block Democrat Joe Biden’s victory. Pence went forward with ratification of the Electoral College even after a violent mob of Trump supporters, some of whom chanted “Hang Mike Pence,” swarmed the U.S. Capitol, interrupting the congressional proceedings and forcing Pence, his family and staff into hiding in the complex.

Scott, a Trump rival in the 2024 race who dropped out and later endorsed the former president, declined to say in two Sunday news show interviews whether he would have acted differently as vice president.

“I’m not going to answer hypothetical questions, No. 1,” said Scott, R-S.C. He added: “You’re asking a hypothetical question that you know can never happen again.”
