She probably is one of those idiots who believe that a "limited nuclear war" is possible. It is not. If two nuclear powers, such as the US and Russia start lobbing nukes at each other, pretty soon, one or the other will feel that their very existence is threatened and will pull out all the stops.

In the event of a nuclear war, food shortages is not the top of my list of worries.

Voters in Georgia are challenging emptygee's run for re-election, saying she violated the 14th Amendment ban on anyone who participated in an insurrection.

I don't know if this effort will fare any better than the one against Madison Cawthorn.

She's too stupid to know the difference between gay and transgender.

I'm sure that the crowd cheered wildly.

Their brains are full, so they're combining anc confusing nutbag rant issues. So "trans pedephiles want to act like a woman to see my pee pee in the bathroom" gets mixed up along with "All the people with the gays are also pedophiles"

Depending what mission they fly the Russians have nothing to fear, 4 miles is nothing, except in direct ground support bombs are released and guided to target from long distances. I understand tht the StartStreak requires a line of sight to target a plane in the skies, where there is nothing to be seen there is nothing to hit.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/greene-sues- ... 17384.html

ATLANTA (AP) — U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene filed a lawsuit Friday challenging a state law that a group of voters is using to challenge her eligibility to run for reelection.

The challenge filed last month with the Georgia secretary of state's office alleges that Greene, a Republican, helped facilitate the Jan. 6, 2021, riot that disrupted Congress from certifying Joe Biden’s presidential election victory. That violates a provision of the 14th Amendment and makes her ineligible to run for reelection, the challenge says.

Greene’s lawsuit asks a judge to declare that the law that the voters are using to challenge her eligibility is itself unconstitutional and to prohibit state officials from enforcing it.

A rarely cited part of the 14th Amendment says no one can serve in Congress “who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress . . . to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same.” Ratified shortly after the Civil War, it was meant in part to keep representatives who had fought for the Confederacy from returning to Congress.

Hmmm. That's that fine line between alleged and convicted. The 14th speaks to neither. So, we are left to divine intent.

Even if Georgia has a state law that says insurrections can't run for congress, isn't there a federal statute that implements the provision in the 14th amendment? A state court can't declare a federal law unconstitutional.

Unfortunately, she may have a point about a state law. SCOTUS has ruled that states can't add or subtract from the eligibility requirements for House members. I believe that the specific case involved term limits. The court ruled that term limits constituted an additional requirement, not included in the US Constitution. I think that the same logic could be applied to a state law that purported to prevent sitting House members or Senators who engaged in insurrection from running for re-election.

If she's quoting the bible, there all talk about how the man is the wife's husband and they become one flesh...

Ah who am I kidding. Cracking open the book rather than doing scattered quotations from it is beyond the ability of most people

Who the hell worries about the future?

Uh, my solar cells power my air conditioning in the summer without me having to send a fat check to the power company every month.
