$100k/plate. Gulp.

Yeah. Wonder how much tfg will take off the top to cover food, drinks and whatever else he can think of.
Don't forget tfg's appearance fee.

And the fund accounting fees.

And the hookers and blow.

:confuzzled: Does anyone know how these donors account for these *donations*? It doesn't sound like Roodles is a non-profit-whatever-it's called. Are these peeps making these donations free and clear and no worries about tax deductions? Do payments to Roodles have tax implications? Questions, questions...

I am not a tax accountant or lawyer, but it is my understanding that donations such as this are treated the same way as donations to political campaigns. That is, they are NOT tax deductible. As you point out, Roodles is not a charitable organization.

As for him, I would guess that it would be treated as ordinary income and would be taxable income to him, personally.

As for the price of admission, $100, if Guiliani sees $30 of that, I would be surprised. I can't imagine that a dinner at Mar-a-lago is less than $50-60 per person. That said, it doesn't seem like it is worth Rudy's while. How many people can we expect to attend? 250, 300? How big is the ballroom? 300 attendees x $100 is only $30,000. Let's be generous and assume that Rudy gets half of that. $15,000 isn't going to put much of a dent in his legal fees. Even if 500 people show up, Rudy only stands to get about $25,000. What is that, about a week's billable hours for his lawyers?

It's $100,000 per plate not $100...

Whether it’s $100 or $100,000 the point is the same. Rudy would be lucky to see $30.

Anybody paying $100K/plate for this should be immediately arrested.
I'm sure they've done something hinky, I'm just not sure what.

He could pulling a Peter Navarro and just think "Screw you, you ain't the boss of me" is sound strategy, even if just pleading the fifth or answering wouldn't even hurt you.

I figure he'll charge $100k for the room, another $100k catering, his sons and their wives are speaking at $60k each, Donnie will probably charge $1 million Appearance fee, valet parking, special security fees and a "service charge" the likes of which will make Ticketmaster melt in admiration and envy.

Rudy might get some, too.

Those figures are spooky real. How did the 699th get hold of T****'s Top Sekrit Rider? Dang, those dachshunds keep getting more tactically brilliant (when they aren't throwing up on the bed).

Will Donald Trump expect appearance fees when he comes to court?

I'd like to see the reaction if his team entered that demand to court or prosecutors!

In the unlikely but highly desirable event that Trump acquired residence in a penitentiary, the managers should take note of the pricing at Trump resorts and hotels and charger him similarly, less a large discount for being a long stayer.

Or if it overlooks a golf course. Who wouldn't find some clubs and pay an enhanced green fee to know that Trump was watching their flailing and thrashing through window bars?

I would pay that. And I’ve never played golf in my life. And never wanted to. I find it offensive in a way that George Carlin much better explains. But I would pay any exorbitant greens fee to play through staring at tfg’s occupied cell. And a nice bottle of Champagne! And I would buy the merch. Basically, I’m in favor of this idea. All in.

I would pay those green fees!

But I would need a truck load of golf balls that I would be driving at his cell bars all day and night…
