This is me. I never suffered fools gladly, now I'm dropping doors when unmasked people enter a store as I leave.
You have good reason, namely staying away from possibly infectious individuals refusing to take even the most modest of protective measures.

Hope it whacks them in the face.

Lindell apparently has NO understanding of how the judicial process works to the slightest degree, as witness his USSC fantasy. I would say that things are NOT looking up for him.

Mike Lindell MyPillow store sparks unrest in Ohio town
John Wright
August 26, 2021

Plans for a retail store devoted to CEO Mike Lindell's MyPillow products have sparked outrage in an Ohio town.

Jason Hanna, part of a group of investors that's behind the store planned in the Columbus suburb of Clintonville, said he's been called a "terrorist, insurrectionist and pedophile" online.

"The nastiness started shortly after the sign went up around Aug. 15, which triggered a volley of hostile exchanges between Hanna and liberals in the area," the Columbus Dispatch reported Thursday.

Hanna admitted to fueling the fire by calling one of his online critics "a little girl," but he is defending the store, claiming it is "not political."

"I liked this product before Trump came into office," he told the newspaper.

"Yet he said he was aware of Lindell's product getting banned from Kohl's, Bed Bath & Beyond, H-E-B and Wayfair," the Dispatch reported. "The cited reasons are that Lindell alleged voter fraud in last year's election between Trump and current President Joe Biden. The company's account also was suspended by Twitter."

Hanna previously told the local NBC affiliate that he decided to open the store in response to other retailers' bans of MyPillow.

Interesting. Are there enough local devotees to keep a store like that running? I mean, how many My Pillows and dog beds can one person buy?

There are a number of MyPillow stores in Twin Cities malls, including the Mall of America. Their store nearest to me, in Southdale, has permanently closed though.

In Columbus maybe, depends on the part of town. Go a few counties south towards Cincinnati and he'd be in the sweet spot.

I was one of the rude liberals hurling hostile messages at the owner of the proposed MyPillow store in Columbus. Contrary to the article, Clintonville is not a suburb but a neighborhood of Columbus. It is just north of OSU and a lot of professors live there. It is very, very blue.

MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell says tonight that his multi-million dollar private jet is “broken,” which he calls “divine intervention.”

Zachary Petrizzo @ZTPetrizzo 17m

Lindell added in a later segment that his plane "breaking" occurred after a trip last week to Missouri where all the state legislators had agreed that the pillow maven has evidence of 2020 voter fraud -- and the plane breaking after the meeting was a "divine" message from god.

Tina Peters is facing additional complaints. A second recall is being organized. Peters has been informed that the county lawyers will not represent her and that the county will not pay for her independent council.
Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters may soon find herself facing more than just possible felony charges for allegedly helping breach security protocols in her Elections Division, but also investigations into her possible acceptance of gifts beyond what state law allows, not to mention a second recall attempt.

To date, two complaints have been filed on that score, but more could be pending.

"Tina Peters flew up to Mr. Pillow’s cybersymposium on a private plane provided to her and is staying as a guest of the Pillow foundation in clear violation of accepting gift laws,” Beilfuss wrote in his complaint, filed on Aug. 16.
:snippity:

The state limits gifts to government employees, including elected officials, to no more than $65 a year “including, but not limited to, gifts, loans, rewards, promises or negotiations of future employment, favors or services, honoraria, travel, entertainment or special discounts,” according to a Colorado Independent Ethics Commission opinion on the issue.

Like the Secretary of State’s Office, that five-member commission also has authority in the matter, but punishment from either is limited to fees and fines.

MORE COMPLAINTS
Meanwhile, Grand Junction resident Anne Landman has filed a similar complaint with the commission.
:snippity:

Beilfuss said he, too, expects to file such a complaint with the ethics commission against Peters.

“Lindell acknowledged that he picked her up recently, so, yes, it’s exactly as the Hickenlooper complaint,” Beilfuss said. “This isn’t the biggest concern about Tina, but another one. We are hearing that there will be a legal case filed against Peters any day regarding campaign violations and possible neglect of duty. We’re also hearing of another recall starting soon.”
:snippity:

Starr’s office has already told Peters that it can’t represent her in any legal entanglement, but wasn’t clear on whether the county would be responsible for paying for her legal representation in this matter.

“The county has previously informed Ms. Peters that the County Attorney’s Office has a conflict of interest and it will be necessary for her to secure independent counsel,”
Assistant County Attorney John Rhodes told The Daily Sentinel in an email. “Typically, should legal matters relate to the operations of the Clerk and Recorder’s Office, county funds are made available for legal representation on those issues.”

I have a feeling that Mesa County thinks Tina has cost them more than enough at this point, and they don't feel like defending illegal behavior. The SoS has filed suit to strip her of her powers, but the Mesa voters will still have to remove her to get rid of her unless she gets jailed. I do not predict happy times ahead for her.

Well, I see their point about not defending her (or paying for it). Accepting travel, etc. is clearly, at least IMO, part of her official duties. Ditto breaking the law or applicable policy. If she was being sued/indicted for something she was supposed to do, but didn't do correctly or at all (allegedly), e.g., not counting several hundred ballots in a drop box she ignored, she should be covered. Turning off surveillance cameras and inappropriately turning over election materials to an inappropriate person -- fuck her.

I find that my response to many of the problems that the right wing scamvangelical rethuglican nutjobs/assholes are having seems to be a fairly standard response. Refused to vaccinate and got covid -- fuck em, insurrectionist and whining that they got fire -- fuck em, etc., etc. It seems I actually do have sufficient fucks to give away.

When I was freshly hired at my current job (engineer at a municipal utility), I went to a seminar* outside of Pittsburgh. I had a bit of a panic when I went to pay my hotel bill and was told that the host company had already paid for it. Fortunately, I was able to get a note from them on letterhead stating that lodging was part of the class fees before I had to fill out my very first expense report. We have a very similar policy, but our limit is $50.

There is definitely something in the water up there, Mesa tends to attract some shall we say unique individuals and attitudes.

Another article about Mesa County Deputy Clerk Belinda Knisley. Where's Tina?
Charges filed against Mesa County deputy clerk
CHARLES ASHBY Charles.Ashby@gjsentinel.com Sep 1, 2021 Updated 7 hrs ago
***
But on the morning of Aug. 25, several print request emails came from the email address of Clerk and Recorder Tina Peters to Mesa County IT. Mesa County Administrator Peter Baier was notified around noon that Knisley was in a secure area at the county DMV office, where she had been escorted from two days prior. Baier and the county's director of human services found Knisley at that office, and the affidavit says Baier overheard Knisley telling another employee to print something off of another computer. The affidavit says Baier told Knisley she needed to leave and she called her attorney, who told her to leave.

Later that afternoon, county HR took Peters' laptop from her office in response to a search warrant, according to the affidavit, which also says that "it appeared Knisley was using Peters' Mesa County work station to access the secure Mesa County computer network while she was in Peters' office earlier." Log files from the computer confirmed Peters' credentials were used to log in to the computer earlier that morning, but Peters had not yet returned to her office since Aug. 9, according to the affidavit.

Knisley did not have an attorney listed in court records. The court records show she had a $2,000 bond set on Wednesday and that a mandatory protection order was issued that bars her from having any contact with the clerk's office or its employees. Knisley and Peters were sued by Griswold and a Mesa County elector on Monday as Griswold seeks to remove Peters as the county’s designated election official and to bar her and Knisley from any oversight or involvement with this November’s election.

The Department of State’s investigation into the election security breaches found that Knisley and Sandra Brown, another Clerk and Recorder employee, helped a man named Gerald Wood who does not work for the county, get into a May 25 “trusted build” of the election system by misrepresenting Wood’s role. That trusted build is where officials believe images were taken of secret passwords used by the Mesa County voting system. It also said that Peters and Knisely are both presently absent, and should they return, are “unable to perform the required duties as a result of her above wrongful acts and breaches of duty.” Griswold said in a statement she could not comment on the criminal matter but did add: “Officials tasked with carrying out safe and secure elections do so in public trust and must be held accountable when they abuse their power or position.”
