On Christmas Eve and Christmas night TRL could find no room in the bed. Hubby and five dogs got there first. We are babysitting The Kid’s three dogs while he parties in Miami with his Lady. Our two are in the pic also.

I got a surprise yesterday afternoon. I heard a knock on my door, and when I opened it al 3 of the women who have cleaned my flat the last 2 years were standing at my door singing "Happy Christmas." My main cleaner is on the left, but when she wants to head off on holiday or just have a break she gets a friend of hers to help out. Her Family is from Ukraine (she grew up in Poland.) The one just to my right is from Moldova and I think the one on the right is Polish. So ya, a truly international photo here. :batting:

So they brought lots of cake and cookies, and we had a bit of a Christmas party. for an hour and a half. I... was shocked, to say the least. :bag:

Of course being me I spent the rest of the day in a daze, not able to comprehend that people care about me. Does not compute. :|

We had a weird Christmas but it was still OK. The 2 sons didn't want to see us since Mrs. Reeve just got out of quarantine on Xmas eve. Don't blame them - they are vaxxed but have kids who are not fully protected (1 is too young). Our adult kids had a get together which did not include us. Daughter stopped by at 8 pm or so and we did the stocking/gift thingy with her. Kinda a weird day but it was fine.

I drove up Pikes Peak. Apparently, you should get your car tuned specially for it or the carburetor will seize up and you’ll hang almost vertically for a second before drifting backwards. Toward the void…

Never made it to the top. Having the car freeze up like that was terrifying but there were lots of helpful people up there. Got it started, turned it around, and went back down.

We had the kids and their kids over tonight. We were gonna do that on Xmas but Mrs. Reeve had the rona and wasn't released from quarantine until Xmas eve. Kids made other plans for Xmas which we understand. Anyway it was a fun delayed Xmas - we wore masks and Mrs. Reeve and I both took Covid tests before they came over - both negative. It was a good day.
