Mesa and Mensa is the same word. Spanish being derived from Latin an' all. (table, and specifically a table mountain.)Reality Check wrote: ↑Fri Mar 11, 2022 12:27 pm I just noticed Mesa County is one letter away from Mensa County. What a difference a single letter can make.![]()

Colorado state law prohibits gifts for public officials that exceed $65 in value.

Colorado's Independent Ethics Commission is investigating Peters, as well, for allegations she accepted gifts for her legal defense that exceed the limit allowed by state law.
If you are not a close friend or family member of a elected official or a public employee in Colorado, you can only give someone a gift of $65 per calendar year," Jane Feldman, former executive director of the commission, told 9NEWS.
Speaking to reporters before his address, Lindell revealed to 9NEWS that he gave as much as $800,000 to a legal defense fund for Peters.
"I just put all the money in myself," Lindell said. "I don’t know, I probably put in three, four, five, maybe 800,000 [dollars] of my own money."
The ethics gift rules apply to travel, as well. Lindell also indicated to reporters that Peters flew on his private jet in August to attend his cyber symposium, an event with several speakers offering up claims of election fraud without evidence.
"I gave her a ride -- on the cyber symposium, I give rides from people all over the country," Lindell said. "She came to the cyber symposium with the group from Colorado. I picked people up. I invited all 50 states. All 50 states were represented. There's your answer. Another stupid question from a stupid journalist."
"She probably flew on [my plane]," he added.
Lindell also established he did not know Peters prior to the symposium.
"I had never met Tina Peters," he said. "I just met her that day."
Those statements could affect the ethics investigation, according to Feldman.
"If he said he had just met her and they had no prior relationship, it's very hard to argue that he was a personal friend," she said.
If found to have violated Colorado law, Peters could be fined twice the amount of money she went over the limit.

The question would be twofold: did Tine Peters ever get contacted by this legal defense fund, did they actually pay any bills for her? And How much in real money, not just vaproware reply to a reporter question, did Lindell really pay, was all intended for Peters alone?raison de arizona wrote: ↑Thu Apr 07, 2022 11:00 amhttps://www.9news.com/article/news/loca ... 983affc3bcAs Tina Peters faces ethics complaint, MyPillow CEO says he gave $800K to her defense

Colorado SOS candidate Tina Peters tweeted she went to the resort to screen "2000 Mules," which highlights election fraud conspiracies.
A grand jury indictment did not impede GOP Colorado secretary of state candidate Tina Peters' ability to travel to Florida for a movie premiere at Mar-a-Lago.
District Attorney Dan Rubenstein, who covers Mesa County where Peters is clerk and recorder, said Peters has permission to leave Colorado on a case-by-case basis with court permission.
"While I have some concerns about Ms. Peters as a potential flight risk, due to her access to private flight travel and history of going into hiding during this investigation, I must balance the importance of assuring her appearance in court against the risk that her bond conditions do not improperly influence the upcoming election. I struck that balance by asking the court to allow travel provided she gave details about her whereabouts when out of state," Rubenstein said via email.
Peters on Thursday tweeted she went to former President Donald Trump's resort in Palm Beach to screen "2000 Mules." Fact-checking site Politifact describes the film as this:
