Over 50 - I know the name, but not really who she was
More a "them" than a "she," but still perfect for Tuckyo Rose.
Tokyo Rose (alternative spelling Tokio Rose) was a name given by Allied troops in the South Pacific during World War II to all female English-speaking radio broadcasters of Japanese propaganda.[1]

Edit:
2010: In his dissent from Citizens United v. FEC, 558 U.S. 310, 424 (2010) Justice Stevens remarked: "If taken seriously, our colleagues' assumption that the identity of a speaker has no relevance to the Government's ability to regulate political speech would lead to some remarkable conclusions. Such an assumption would have accorded the propaganda broadcasts to our troops by "Tokyo Rose" during World War II the same protection as speech by Allied commanders".

I glanced at Taitz's site; I would describe its recent content as pro-Ukraine. But no bashing of the repeached Florida Man's support of Putin.

Potent protest: Bars drop Russian vodka, promote Ukraine’s
(AP) - Some bars and liquor stores think they’ve found a potent way to punish Russia for invading Ukraine: They’re pulling Russian vodka off their shelves and promoting Ukrainian brands instead.

“I woke up yesterday morning, and I saw that Russia had invaded Ukraine. You wonder what you can do,’’ said Bob Quay, owner of Bob’s Bar in Grand Rapids, Michigan. “The U.S. obviously is putting on sanctions. I thought I would put on sanctions as well.’’

So he rid his shelves of the old Soviet brand Stolichnaya and started promoting Ukraine’s Vektor. “We have a sign above it that says: Support Ukraine.’’

Quay announced the move on Facebook, and “it blew up. We’ve got people coming in who’ve never been in the bar before.’’

Stoli, owned by the Russian-born tycoon Yuri Shefler, is actually made in Latvia. On its website, Stoli Group says it “stands for peace in Europe and in solidarity with the Ukrainian people.″

The Southern Spirits liquor store in Indian Land, South Carolina, is doing a booming business in the Ukrainian vodka Kozak after pulling Russian brands off its shelves.

The worldwide response is really heartening. I am stun.

But as I have said, I can't see Putin buckling to financial pressure, no matter how great.

You have to beat him on the ground, too. Which the Ukrainians, thus far, are doing and doing well, with good leadership and yes, the support of the entire world. I hope to hell it's enough. The alternative is still unthinkable. :cantlook:

Hundreds of Irish-owned planes to be ordered back from Russia in days
Aircraft lessors to take unprecedented step to recover tens of billions worth of aircraft within days as part of ratcheting up of EU sanctions

https://www.independent.ie/business/hun ... 91470.html
Irish leasing companies are expected to be terminate all leasing deals with Russian aircraft in the coming days as the next phase of sanctions ratchets up pressure on the Kremlin after its invasion of Ukraine, according to senior aviation sources.

Most commercial aircraft in Russia are leased, so if the requests are honoured the move has the potential to massively disrupt travel in and out of Russia as well as internally.

SpaceX Starlink satellite internet service activated in Ukraine, says Elon Musk

https://www.cnn.com/2022/02/27/business ... index.html
SpaceX founder and CEO Elon Musk announced Saturday that the company's Starlink internet satellites are now active in Ukraine as the country suffers power outages due to Russia's invasion.

"Starlink service is now active in Ukraine," Musk, the Tesla CEO, tweeted. "More terminals en route."

Ukraine's vice prime minister asked Musk to provide internet service to the country amid Russian attacks, and Musk delivered, according to a Twitter exchange between the two on Saturday.

Mykhailo Fedorov, who is also Ukraine's minister of digital transformation, tweeted to Musk: "while you try to colonize Mars -- Russia try to occupy Ukraine! While your rockets successfully land from space -- Russian rockets attack Ukrainian civil people! We ask you to provide Ukraine with Starlink stations and to address sane Russians to stand."
