This continues to be blurry about his enrollment status. Sounds like he was a non-degree online student (which requires its own sort of application process, though not the same as undergraduate admissions), got a compassionate withdrawal from his classes (but considered himself to be a continuing student, which is fair), and now has enrolled in more courses in the same status of a non-degree online student. At no point is there anything about his applying for admission to a regular degree program.raison de arizona wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 11:26 amKyle Rittenhouse 're-enrolls' to study law at Arizona State after Kenosha acquittal

They should add the owner of that car dealership that allegedly hired RIttenhouse and a couple of his friends to "protect" his business.andersweinstein wrote: ↑Sat Jan 22, 2022 2:01 pm Rittenhouse has been added as a defendant in the Huber family's civil suit. He hired underage, untrained, unqualified, unlicensed teenagers carrying guns that they had no business having. What could possible go wrong?

The dealership was owned by a family and one of the family members that doesn't work at the dealership apparently did make some arrangement, or at least had knowledge they were going to be there, with guns. The one who testified that he didn't make any arrangement with them was a family member that did work at the dealer. Also, he was one of the worst witnesses I have ever seen on a witness stand.
I had the feeling the whole time he testified that he thought every single question was a potential "gotcha" question, and he asked for every question to be repeated. And then still struggled to answer. I thought both the prosecutor and defense attorneys probably wanted to throttle him. He really came off as a complete and utter idiot. The defense attorney particularly seemed to be having a hard time controlling an urge to choke him out right there in court in front of everyone.
Not sure if the jury could possibly have found him to be credible at all. They probably wanted to choke him out, too. Also. It would probably be good for Grosskreutz family to sue them as well because a jury would probably give Grosskreutz millions of dollars in exchange for a promise to get that idiot off the stand so they don't have to suffer through another minute of his testimony.

If he were serious about moving into a career that requires one or more degrees, given his past educational history, he would be better off starting with a community college and building up his core competencies along with taking the ACT or SAT. He would then be in a better position to get through admission requirements as an undergrad.
If he actually chose that route good for him, but it is not all that helpful if you are just seeking attention.

I just remembered he's a dropout who went back for a GED.

It depends on the college. A GED wouldn't hinder him at a community college.
This could explain why Rittenhouse is taking non-degree classes at ASU. He has certain classes he needs to qualify for possible admission.

Kyle's argument, of course, is that he killed white people, not black people. Thus, he was defamed.

Re: Kyle Rittenhouse, previous owner of a Smith & Wesson M&P15
On the eve of a hearing to determine who would get the money, three of the parties proposed an agreement: Ricky Schroder, the “Silver Spoons” and “NYPD Blue” actor would get $150,000; the firm of Rittenhouse’s lawyer Mark Richards would get $925,000 in a trust; and $925,000 would go to the #FightBack Foundation, according to a proposed stipulation reviewed by Law&Crime. The deal would need to be approved by a judge.
Not everybody is happy with that proposed deal.
In a separate filing, one of Pierce’s creditors wants the bail money to pay back part of a $2.5 million judgment they owe. That creditor is California-based Karish Kapital, LLC, a litigation financer that bankrolled lawsuits by Donald Trump’s then-associate Carter Page, retired Marine Corps. Lt. Col. Oliver North, and the Boeing Corporation.

One more detail:
Gives new meaning to "bail bond".[Pierce creditor] Karish Kapital’s judgment for its loan to Pierce’s firm is now owned by an entity known as the Patent and Trademark Hedge Fund Trust. “Accordingly, the Trust contributed $300,000 of its own funds toward Kyle’s $2 million bail fund, expecting to receive back its original investment plus interest rate at the legal rate,” the filing continues. The trust claims it understood that it would get “all other contributions” plus “interest at Wisconsin’s legal rate,” too.
“For each and all of the foregoing reasons, the Trust requests that the Court order the Clerk to turnover the entirety of the $2,000,000 bail fund to the Trust forthwith,” the filing concludes.
In the alternative, the trust wants the $300,000 back plus interest.According to the filing, the trust believed Rittenhouse’s bail money would be “a good investment” because “the trust believed that Kyle would in fact eventually be acquitted.”

Lin Wood screwed up bad by not posting that bail himself on behalf of #FightBack.

Judge rejected the creditor's attempt to intervene for multiple reasons, accepts this agreement, so Ricky Schroeder gets $150K back (apparently he had been thinking of this as a loan, not a donation), $925K goes to FightBack, and $925K goes to Richards' firm's trust account for the Rittenhouses. Presumably legal fees come out of this, so unclear how much Rittenhouse ultimately gets.andersweinstein wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 10:07 amOn the eve of a hearing to determine who would get the money, three of the parties proposed an agreement: Ricky Schroder, the “Silver Spoons” and “NYPD Blue” actor would get $150,000; the firm of Rittenhouse’s lawyer Mark Richards would get $925,000 in a trust; and $925,000 would go to the #FightBack Foundation, according to a proposed stipulation reviewed by Law&Crime. Also, earlier judge approved an agreement to have the gun destroyed rather than returned to him Both Rittenhouse and Dominick Black signed off. It will be destroyed by the WI crime lab, "probably in April" according to ADA Binger and some kind of certification sent to them.

Lin Wood has maintained since when I can remember that the Silver Spoon money was a loan, so I have no reason to doubt that. So Lin Wood gets back half his grift, not bad, especially given that he personally guaranteed Schroder's $150k loan and would have been in the hole for it.andersweinstein wrote: ↑Fri Jan 28, 2022 1:31 pmJudge rejected the creditor's attempt to intervene for multiple reasons, accepts this agreement, so Ricky Schroeder gets $150K back (apparently he had been thinking of this as a loan, not a donation), $925K goes to FightBack, and $925K goes to Richards' firm's trust account for the Rittenhouses. And as far as the weapon destruction, at least I don't have to change the thread title!

What a surprise.
I honestly think the poor boy is just too dense/ignorant to understand the difference.
https://radaronline.com/p/kyle-rittenho ... acquittal/Kyle Rittenhouse Shut Down By ASU Over Re-Enrollment Story, Protest Shooter Not Actually A Student — Yet
Kyle Rittenhouse made headlines when he doubled down claiming he was re-enrolled at Arizona State University and seeking a law degree, but Radar has learned that's not actually the case.
Sources with direct knowledge tell Radar that Rittenhouse is not an ASU student. Rittenhouse is part of their online non-degree-seeking program and has not gone through the admissions process, despite claiming he has.
According to our insider, the 19-year-old has "access to begin taking classes" while he prepares "to seek admission into a degree program at the university."
ASU gave Radar a statement on Wednesday, revealing, "Kyle Rittenhouse has registered for ASU online classes as a non-degree student starting in Spring B session, which begins in March."
