Just for the record, I was logged in as Suranis and he was logged in as me, so whoever you seemed to be while the board was borked today, that person was showing they were you, if that makes any sense in English. You know what I mean, it seems to be a mirror thingy, I don't know.

I still have to install a caching plugin on my WordPress sites, but I'll do that in the morning.

Thanks for fixing it Foggy! And seeing the 7:45pm update was great, just seeing what was going on was a relief. Thought it was the super birfer geniuses hacking the forum, Sharon Rondeau has mad skillz, and Rev Dr Laity Esq & the brain trust are coding in their sleep. Or Orly Taitz had pulled something out of her Yahoo. There were so many realistic possibilities!

Looks like all the posts made it too -- Realist and so many here were constantly DMing me on Twitter and emailing frantically, everybody was so worried that the update in the titular Mama June topic was going to be washed away. Thankfully, the new post in the "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo, Again! Titular Mama June Shannon - It's Complicated Again. Still The Fogbow's Favourite Show!™" is still there for everybody to enjoy!!

Too also, the precious votes for the super important Poll "1/22/22 Poll: How Long Will Drunken Capt. Karl P. Koenigs and the Imaginary AMFF Armada Sail The Seas? #SSFatRambo" are still there.

So our priority topics are still there, whew! And it's clear that the hosting company got on it when they saw The Fogbow's Theme Song™ and knew it Foggy meant business:

So neonzx, Suranis and I got to take turns being Foggy for a while today. When I saw that I was the Soup Ream Dick Tater, I nearly fainted.

This morning I was AndyinPA. I don't know if she lives near Valley Township, PA, but late last night a traffic accident between a dump truck and a trailer transporting approx. 100 monkees left at least one monkey unaccounted for. I was thinking that maybe the monkey found AndyinPA's keyboard, because about when The Fogbow was back up and running the Pennsylvania State Police announced that all monkeys were accounted for.

I missed it all. So sad. I'm not a morning person - usually get out of bed at 9 am West Coast time or so then drink coffee, talk to the wife etc. before logging in - usually in the afternoon. Didn't even know this happened until late this afternoon - did anyone log in as me?

This is what happens when you sleep in -- you miss out on the fun. I didn't get to play you. But I got to play as Foggy for a few clicks.

It really should NEVER EVER EVER BE POSSIBLE, in fact it is totally unpossible, for you to log in as another user without that person's password.

That's what I've been taught.

OK, well, we appear to be back, and the last step is something (caching in a few low-traffic WordPress sites I run on the same server) that has nothing to do with the forum. What happened: Every day in the past week or so, at about 8:15 a.m., I've been suddenly unable to connect to the site from any computer or browser for about half an hour, then it's back. I tried chat with my hosting company twice but it came back so I didn't follow through. Yesterday was Saturday and we were snowed in, so I decided to chat with tech support and follow through until I got results. I DID get some results, too, didn't I? I got the result of making the entire board go INSANE. But I was happily off, hiking along the mighty Neuse River, enjoying the snowfall in my hiking boots and winter gear, like I do. I had no idea that the fix they put in yesterday morning was worse than the original problem. It wasn't until I got back and got a PM from Mr. Gneiss saying that he was logged in as me, then as somebody else, and you can imagine that instantly I was FREAKING OUT, but in a calm and rational way of course, and I went to work on it until they fixed it. Which still leaves the original problem. But I have a plan for that. So while I truly appreciate all the love and kudos, I feel like I kind of shot my forum in the foot. That's what I get for listening to tech support, huh?
