Pretty major development: WaPo reporting that Oath Keeper leader Stewart Rhodes, who did not ever enter the Capitol on January 6, has been charged with seditious conspiracy alongside 10 others.

Back in 2016, this was exactly what I was arguing for Malheur and Ammon Bundy. During the recent flurry of 1/6 pieces drawing a line from Bundy to the Capitol, I thought about this again. How much I dislike MacNab.

Side note: Do not forget about Richard Mack and Sam Bushman's roles with the Oathkeepers. They have a strong official and personal association with Rhodes.

Charges are expected to be unsealed later today.

One week ago, Rep. Matt Gaetz asserted to me that Stewart Rhodes may be a federal asset.

I'll definitely follow up with his office to see if today's charges change his opinion.

For shits, Rhodes and Bundy are connected through Richard Mack, Sam Bushman and the Smith Network.

Bushman has a show on Smith’s network. Bushman is CSPOA Operations - has been since start. Mack helped Rhodes start OK around the same time Smith seeded CSPOA and Mack created it (incidentally, the American Lands Council was also seeded during this 2010-12 period). Smith Network worked with Ron Arnold, the Wise Use movement and militias in the 80s/90s.

Rhodes appeared regularly on Bushman’s show, including 1/5/21. I listened to it at the time but have relistened. Here both talk of insurrection act, why militias are good, and how they are "at war."
