The movie is sad, the song is awesome, and the effort in this video is amazing:

I'm not sure where I discovered this guy (maybe here), but Laszlo Buring does a great job transforming classic rock hits into the style of other legendary rockers. Here: Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" as if it were performed by Dire Straits.

Okay, forgive my absence. Work has been eating up tons of my time lately, along with moving into a new house, and also the post-Rittenhouse-acquittal depression - more on that some other time.johnpcapitalist wrote: ↑Thu Dec 23, 2021 9:27 pm I'm not sure where I discovered this guy (maybe here), but Laszlo Buring does a great job transforming classic rock hits into the style of other legendary rockers. However:
As someone who tries to play the guitar and has exactly two idols on that particular instrument, namely David Gilmour and Mark Knopfler, this right here is my everything.
"There's no play here. There's no angle. There's no champagne room. I'm not a miracle worker, I'm a janitor. The math on this is simple. The smaller the mess, the easier it is for me to clean up." -Michael Clayton

Frankly, I didn’t even notice* you’ve been AWOL.
Foggie, we need to revive the “we’re not missing we’re just traveling” thread for 2022. P
* I’ve been pretty worried, actually.
Welcome back.

Kinda figured ... doing public defender work is a pain. Unsurprising he's been unable to keep up here...Phoenix520 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 27, 2021 1:04 am

You don't need me to start a thread, especially when I'm visiting my dad, and besides there already is one somewhere.

This is old, but I just gave me the album for an EOY holiday gift. I can't believe I knew it existed, but had not heard until now. All killer, no filler.
There is a live version on the YT, but this is the original recorded version.

OK, what was Freddy doing in the Bond movie?
Did Brian May fund the new space telescope?
This is (bass player) Deacon's song for sure, but how come Brian gets virtually NOTHING to do?

Album of Endangered Bird Songs Beats Pop Stars & Christmas Favorites
Songs of Disappearance” - “a chorus of iconic cockatoos, the buzzing of bowerbirds, a bizarre symphony of seabirds, and the haunting call of one of the last remaining night parrots" - has been topping Australian music charts, soaring past names like Adele, Michael Buble, and Mariah Carey.
Recorded over four decades, the album features the calls and songs of 53 species facing extinction. Since its release on December 3rd, its made its way to No. 3 on the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) chart.
"Songs of Disappearance" was created for the release of a book called, “The Action Plan for Australian Birds,” by Charles Darwin University (CDU) and BirdLife Australia, which both highlight the threat of extinction that many birds are facing.
