You also have to take in to consideration that that part of Northern Colorado, and most of Colorado for that matter outside of the Denver Metro/Boulder areas is almost solidly hard, dense, unthinking Republicans, often to their serious detriment. There are some Democratic pockets that are holding out and sending Dems to Congress. Which means if you're breathing and a registered Republican you can probably get elected, IQ/ability notwithstanding, as witness Bobo. The old saw that you get the representation you deserve definitely applies in some of these areas.
