I have seen no evidence of such.

Does it exist?
I have seen the same but do not know anything about it or where that is coming from.

Dude is 4 years late.

I used to hate my work was appropriated. Still do. It's part of why I no longer write.

Note Haas and Sottile haven't done shit on the subject since.

I'm sure Ammon believes that it's in the Skousen Constitution that he doesn't have to pay for no steeenkin' transcript.

Many things have become, or will become, obsolete in my lifetime. Court reporters are not in that category. They aren't going anywhere any time soon, and rightly so. Pay your damn fees for the transcript, and grift whatever you need to cover it. :fingerwag:

BOISE — After he was sentenced to 40 hours of community service for trespassing at the Idaho Capitol in 2020, gubernatorial hopeful Ammon Bundy told a court last week that he's already completed 1,621 hours of public service through what appear to be campaign activities.

Meanwhile, on Sept. 16, Bundy appealed the trespassing conviction as well as a subsequent court decision to deny an acquittal request. On Tuesday, an Ada County District Court judge dismissed the appeal.

In a Nov. 26 letter to the court — printed on "Ammon Bundy for Governor" letterhead — Bundy and campaign aides suggested that he already completed court-ordered public service over 1,621 hours traveling throughout the state, attending public events and encouraging people to hold public officials accountable.

"Mr. Bundy has traveled the State of Idaho several times meeting with people and encouraging them to become more active in holding public officials accountable to the People of Idaho," said the letter, which was signed by campaign treasurer Aaron Welling. "Mr. Bundy has organized and attended over 90 public events since he was sentenced six months ago. Through these public events Mr. Bundy has encouraged hundreds of people to register to vote and begin to participate more in preserving the conservative values the great State of Idaho was built upon."

LOL - campaigning is community service. I predict that Judge Manweiler will not agree.

Self inflicted wounds make Bundy a liability to the Sagebrush Rebs. Instead of the campaign and platform, he's going to be faced with questions of ethics and proceedings lasting for months.

So, he changed the subject to Natural Rights and Beneficial Use direct from God. On point.

Note much of what he says is correct re: use it or lose it. This is central to why the West will forever be a barren wasteland created by small time ranchers and behemoth corporations alike.

Further, God should have no place in science based decision making for public lands or global air and water. But, the spaghetti monster does, seemingly dooming us all.

Non paywalled article (same one as linked above but on different site) for those interested. Ammo wasn't willing to pay $3600 for his nonsense appeal. https://www.bigcountrynewsconnection.co ... 11c31.html

Well let’s see if the court agrees that handing out water at political protests counts as community service.

For shits and giggles.

In 1971 - around the time of the Freemen gathering - Bert Smith bought the Swift meat packing plant in Ogden, Utah. He owned this property until his death, widow Kathy selling it to the city for redevelopment. She originally asked three times the final price of just under $800k.

Bert was the NCCS, Father of the Sagebrush Rebellion, property rights zealot and military surplus purveyor.

Bert never let any government inspector around the Swift property, government regulators at the City, State and Fed unwilling to exert their responsibility because of both his political reputation and powerful associations with Utah politicians. They were intimidated, bullied. After Bert’s death, Kathy didn't let the city inspect the property before closing - and the city agreed.

The Swift building was a storage site for hazardous materials, things that came with purchased lots. For almost 45 years.

The site became an EPA Superfund site immediately upon closing (2017) and was "cleaned up" a year & 1/2 later (2019), the cost millions of dollars (never mind the long term environmental costs).

https://www.utahinvestigative.org/ogden ... 8652343750

Many noted that part of the closing language included holding Smith’s estate not liable for any cleanup. In effect, the uber capitalist, fundamentalist constitutionalist privatized profit off socialized products and later socialized the costs.

Unfortunately for Kathy, liability for Superfund/RCRA/CERCLA sites cannot be waved. Everyone is a PRP.

So far, I've yet to see anything about the financial disposition of this case. I continue to follow it and will be making inquiries to EPA in the future.

For what it's worth, I think it an interesting sub-plot to their story.

BTW: One can argue Cliven Bundy learned from Bert Smith regarding bullying, intimidation (ie. BLM). That the Constitution, Natural Rights and capitalism are only ruses, fronts to be freeloading sovereign citizens.

Zin, that is a very interesting angle to the story! Thank you so much for posting that.

It's so true they want unabashed capitalism for incoming revenue and absolute socialism when it comes to paying for anything. Front to freeloading sovereign citizen batshittery is the absolute truth.
There's a lot of things that need to change. One specifically? Police brutality.

Right on.

DOGS

You gotta be crazy, you gotta have a real need.
You gotta sleep on your toes, and when you're on the street,
You gotta be able to pick out the easy meat with your eyes closed.
And then moving in silently, down wind and out of sight,
You gotta strike when the moment is right without thinking.

And after a while, you can work on points for style.
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.
You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.

You gotta keep one eye looking over your shoulder.
You know it's going to get harder, and harder, and harder as you
get older.
And in the end you'll pack up and fly down south,
Hide your head in the sand,
Just another sad old man,
All alone and dying of cancer.

And when you lose control, you'll reap the harvest you have sown.
And as the fear grows, the bad blood slows and turns to stone.
And it's too late to lose the weight you used to need to throw
around.
So have a good drown, as you go down, all alone,
Dragged down by the stone.

I gotta admit that I'm a little bit confused.
Sometimes it seems to me as if I'm just being used.
Gotta stay awake, gotta try and shake off this creeping malaise.
If I don't stand my own ground, how can I find my way out of this
maze?

Deaf, dumb, and blind, you just keep on pretending
That everyone's expendable and no-one has a real friend.
And it seems to you the thing to do would be to isolate the winner
And everything's done under the sun,
And you believe at heart, everyone's a killer.

Who was born in a house full of pain
Who was trained not to spit in the fan
Who was told what to do by the man
Who was broken by trained personnel
Who was fitted with collar and chain
Who was given a pat on the back
Who was breaking away from the pack
Who was only a stranger at home
Who was ground down in the end
Who was found dead on the phone
Who was dragged down by the stone.

Ammo says he is gonna appeal again (after dropping his appeal cuz he didn't want to spend $3600 for transcripts). Don't know how it works if one's appeal is dismissed and then appeal again. We shall see.
