Spreadnecks: COVIDIOTS, Anti-Maskers, Anti-Vaxxers, Etc.

Good, but sad, article from the Guardian. Thanks.

Mitch Benn has had it with anti-vaxxers.
He's been writing comic songs for a couple of decades. I've listened to him years and years ago, but only found him on youtube a little while ago.

Should be broadcast every hour on every radio station, and in the commercial breaks on TV.

I want to send that song to this political opportunistic expletive:
He refused to answer a routine question and so consequently he couldn't quarantine at home.. then he whinges about the consequences of his decision.
Entitled expletive expletive expletive..
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2021-12-03/ ... /100671326
under border changes from November 23, unvaccinated travellers can only enter South Australia with an exemption.
SA government guidelines state travellers may be required to complete quarantine at home or in a medi-hotel "depending on individual circumstances".
Mr Antic, who has been withholding his vote in federal parliament in protest against state vaccination mandates, said he had been "very, very vocal" about vaccination mandates.
"Now all of a sudden I seem to have been singled out in what appears to be a political stunt and the only inference you can really draw from this is this has been quite pre-meditated," he said.
Mr Antic, 46, said he had a COVID test on Wednesday that was negative and that he truthfully answered all questions put to him by SA Health, including whether he was fully vaccinated.
"I've been very clear about my medical history and my medical care is a matter for myself and my family … my wife and my three-month-child is now at home for another two weeks without me," he said.

Article includes some more opportunistic demagogues, but also this:
The protests are smaller than some demonstrations seen in November when the bill was yet to pass.
The state's Department of Health on Saturday confirmed another three people linked to those protests had contracted COVID-19, taking the total to 39.
The department said 14 people attended the "mass gatherings" while infectious, and 22 were deemed to have possibly caught the virus at the protests.
Three of the 39 people have been admitted to hospital with COVID-19 and one is receiving intensive care.

They're giving it out in Kansas, too. I upgraded a few weeks ago. It's really not much different from what I can tell, but I don't really use the computer for a whole lot, so there's probably a bunch I haven't seen yet.

Also, too, ya gotta have a newish CPU (gen 8 or newer, I think), and you have enable a security feature on the motherboard through the BIOS. I don't have the details to hand but if you want I can look them up when I get to my desk.Kriselda Gray wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 9:20 amThey're giving it out in Kansas, too. Re: Spreadnecks: COVIDIOTS, Anti-Maskers, Anti-Vaxxers, Etc.
I appreciate the offer, but I've already got it installed. I just recently upgraded to a new laptop and didn't have to do anything to get it to work. Computer manufacturers must be loving this, though. My husband had to get a new motherboard for his desktop and upgrade almost everything else to work with it. A friend of ours ended up buying a whole new computer.keith wrote: ↑Sat Dec 04, 2021 4:47 pmAlso, too, ya gotta have a newish CPU (gen 8 or newer, I think), and you have enable a security feature on the motherboard through the BIOS. Well, my comment was more for the Fogmeister, but yeah, I had to build a new computer too. Fortunately, my sister in law needed a new computer and my old one is good enough, so SWMBO let me spend up.

Typing this at Windows 8.1
Though both my and ms's laptops are running windows 10 here in FL, and hoping to keep it that way for a while.
(I also have VMs running W7 and W95, for stuff that won't run on these newfangled bits)

In some respects, talking OS is not OT because Covid keeps giving us upgrades no one wants, it affects people differently, and there is plenty of bad advise out there on the subject.

Seriously? The most disturbing image you've ever seen in your life?
