I have no idea what it means, but I love the sound of it. Great music. I will definitely check out more of this band.

this guy?
Re: Tom Lehrer--still living
Well, he's quite different. I enjoyed that too, in an altogether different way than I enjoyed mojo's post, though. Maybe mojo meant to post in the music thread? Not sure. I was confused by the thread title and mojo's post, but I'm game, had a listen, and really enjoyed it. Now, I have TWO new favorites to listen to!

Re: Tom Lehrer--still living
My parents had all his albums.
Re: Tom Lehrer--still living
I had all of his albums, at least the three LPs generally available in the 1960s.
It started when I was 12 or 13, and visiting grandparents in Maryland who were more indulgent than my parents in the matter of television watching. I stumbled on a program that featured Tom Lehrer performing a few of his songs.
As soon as we returned to Manhattan, I took some allowance money and a bus down to the flagship Doubleday store on Fifth Avenue. I couldn't remember the performer's name, but when I mentioned "poisoning pigeons," the guy at the record counter knew that I wanted "An Evening Wasted With Tom Lehrer."
I still know quite a few of the songs by heart.

I'm amazed how well his songs hold up. "We Will All Go Together When We Go" could just as easily be about COVID. Yes, the lyrics explicitly mention bombs. But the sentiment is on point, and it's one that needs to be expressed more. Just needs some updated lyrics:
We will all fall together when we fall.
Rich, poor, old, young, thin, fat, short and tall.
When COVID comes to end us,
We will all drop our agendas.
And everyone's invited to the ball.
We will all drop together when we drop.
When the big one comes, there is no booster shot.
Whether red or blue community,
We will have no herd immunity.
We will all go together when we go.
