Re: Report Problems/Questions Here
I have noticed that a user has adopted a grossly offensive avatar; namely an image of Mike Lindell. Is this type of deliberate provocation allowed?

I see today's announcement …
Upgrade Mañana 6 a.m. - new version of phpBB software
… so should we steel ourselves for Fogbow 3.0, empty threads, no avatars and re-registration?

Ack! Ack, ack, ack!
Sam with all the Laigs is SPREADING DISINFORMATION like a common disinformation spreader.
Go stand in the corner, Sam.
Everyone knows, I wasn't even working on the website when my virtual server crashed. I wasn't on the forum, either. People here notified me that the site was down, and I called tech support immediately. It was Sunday night and they didn't have any high-level people there. When I got back to them before 6 am on Monday morning, they said they couldn't recover the site and they never did admit what actually happened to it. I went through a 24 hour nightmare before I finally realized we had to start from scratch.
I cringe every time I think about it. I saved what I could, but it was a total disaster. Grrr.
But upgrading the software, I've done that eleventy sebben times already. That hasn't gone wrong since 2010, when I was younger than I am now.

Re: Report Problems/Questions Here
After the upgrade, I realized that I had a whole bunch of unread active topics. Some may claim that I was on very little over the weekend so things just piled up but that's silly commie/marxist/nazi/leftist/arborist talk.
Foggy will probably say I could just fix it by marking all as read but I have learned I need to know what I have not read. Some 11 years ago, this then newbie was promptly chastised for mentioning/asking something that was discussed some 75 pages earlier in a thread and that I needed to catch up on all of that, and all the other threads before commenting/inquiring. It was especially fun as the birther heyday meant some threads grew exponentially and by the time you caught up, you were 50 pages behind again.

Re: Report Problems/Questions Here
Foggy, reading your post above -- is there any way/place any parts of Fogbow 1.0 could be posted as a read-only forum? There was so much great material there, even if only a fraction of it was available it would be great to access for reference. Just wondered if even the last, say, 4-5 years could be pumped into another phpBB or anything for read-only access.
Has phpBB gotten a LIKE button yet? Just the triannual question
How are those Fogbow Hero of Socialist Labor badges coming along? Have been holding on to them for FRP and others, but they're kind of heavy in my pocket.

Re: Report Problems/Questions Here
I haven't deleted my backups of the files and database. I might need assistance to try to restore it somewhere, that's beyond my pay grade. Let me poke around and see what I can do.

I've been meaning to suggest the same thing. And if possible, the whole database.orlylicious wrote: ↑Wed Oct 13, 2021 1:58 am Foggy, reading your post above -- is there any way/place any parts of Fogbow 1.0 could be posted as a read-only forum?

Hi, Foggy. I am getting kicked off of the site when I try to post something and it takes longer than 5 minutes.

There used to be a "mark all topics read" type button. I do not be finding it now.

You have to click 'unread posts' under quick links and it will show up on the right side, just above the topics box.John Thomas8 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 06, 2021 12:08 am There used to be a "mark all topics read" type button. I do not be finding it now.

Hello Foggy,
I would like some additional feature in the editor, cause the Android does not have a keyboard shortcut or dropdown menu for this:
Next to the cut / past icons on the upper ribbon, please add and enable undo / redo icons and functionality.
Thank you Oh Big Master Of The Foggy Bow
